I went to the official IELTS site but found this one to be better. As for how often I use it, I would have to say every

14、day. Most in the mornings when I get up, but also sometimes in the evenings before I go to bed. I have put it in my Favourites list so that I can access it easily and without having to type in the address all the time. All of my classmates use this site too, and quite often we end up chatting to eac

15、h other through the site rather than on WeChat. It has a lot of little videos that offer tips parts of the exam. For example, theres a 2-minute one that is about body language in the speaking exam, another one has a student, actually a very beautiful girl, giving example answers to the up-to-date sp

16、eaking questions. It also has a forum so that people can ask and answer questions on a peer-to-peer basis and feedback from all over the world. It also links in to things like WeChat and WeiBo. I actually take part in the YiZhiBo live stream on Thursday evenings sometimes. Im sure that if this site

17、didnt exist I would find it much more difficult to study effectively online. This site was recommended to me by my English teacher because he knew that it was good and mistake free. A lot of sites, he said, had little errors in grammar or maybe spelling that could make things difficult to learn, as

18、what Im learning is wrong. 2 This website I am going to describe to you is named Baidu, which is the biggest search engine in China. There are more than one billion people in China, and the users of Baidu have almost half that number. Because it is so convenient and easy to use, I can search for any

19、thing and everything which I want to know. As for how much I use it, well, I use it every day, sometimes many times. Its just so useful, it can become a dictionary: there are some words I dont understand: it can be a news library if I want to know the news of the day: it also can be a study aid, whe

20、n I meet some problems. For me, I just find that its faster and clearer than anything else. This website gives more information, like the meaning of words, the explanations of problems and the like. I think the most beneficial part is some data and examples of my major, International Business Manage

21、ment, have been very useful for me. Sometimes, I just felt tired and confused and I dont know how to keep on studying, so I would like to find some ways to relax and some ways to keep learning. I wouldnt like to think about this website not existing. I think if that happened it would be a nightmare,

28、 change in the future? 1 I dont think so, no. Dont forget that the internet is not the same thing as the web. The structure of it, and particularly the backbone, will not change significantly other than maybe getting faster and maybe a bit bigger. 2 Absolutely yes! The way has to be changed. People

29、now use the Internet by smart-phone or computer now, and they must to connect via wifi or mobile data. These days it is relatively easy to use, but in the future, it would be even more convenient, such as planting the mobile data into the skin or brain, and after maybe 50 years, the air touch screen

30、 will have appeared. Those kinds of thing are amazing, so I am looking forward to seeing the development of the Internet. 4. What are the ways that social media can be used for positive purposes? 1 Oh, theres loads! I think that like the name suggests it can be used to connect people in different pl

31、aces, and even in different countries. My friend and I took a trip around the world last year and kept our families up-to-date with our movements and what we were doing through WeiBo. It was much easier than calling them each day and all of our friends could see us too. 2 I think that one of the mai

32、n ways that it can be used for good is the ability to connect with like-minded people, which can then potentially offer support in times of strife and a sense of belonging to those that feel lonely. Another thing is to be able to disseminate useful information, such as for a university course. My tu

33、tor quite often sends messages or files to us through WeChat and WeiBo. 5. Why do some individuals post highly negative comments about other people on social media? 1 I think for some they just want to cause international chaos and they find some kind of enjoyment from this. Another reason may be th

34、at they have some kind of psychological disorder, either that or just being sick and twisted. 2 I think, if I am being polite, that they are just attention seeking. They crave and need other people to know who they are and think that trolling people is clever. 6. Do you think that companies main for

35、m of advertising will be via social media in the future? 1 I would say no. Although companies will no doubt use things like WeChat and WeiBo in order to promote themselves, it will not be the principal way they do it. There are still far more televisions and radios out there than computers, which ma

36、kes it more sensible to continue with these mediums. Perhaps in the far future this may change, but certainly not in my lifetime. 2 Absolutely, yes. We all know that Apps like FaceBook, Twitter, WeChat have just exploded over the last few years. Newspapers are basically dead, along with most other print media. Social networking is definitely where its at, and in my opinion, companies would be stupid not to use it to its full potential.
