Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the U.S. Department of Defense.1. Scope1.1 This test method covers two laboratory pro
3、cedures fordetermining the extrusion rate and application life (or “potlife”) of elastomeric chemically curing sealants for use inbuilding construction.NOTE 1These sealants are supplied with various rheological proper-ties ranging from pourable liquids to nonsagging pastes. Single-component sealants
4、 are supplied ready for use upon opening the container, and their rate of cure is determined by the climatic conditions to whichthey are exposed. Multicomponent sealants are supplied as a basecomponent and a curing agent separately packaged. After mixing the twoparts, the sealant is ready for applica

The values given in parentheses are provided forinformation only.1.3 There is no known ISO equivalent to this test method.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns,
6、if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2.
