1、Designation: D3308 12Standard Specification forPTFE Resin Skived Tape1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D3308; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses ind

2、icates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1. Scope*1.1 This specification covers skived tape in thicknessesfrom 0.013 to 6.35 mm (0.0

3、005 to 0.250 in.) manufactured byskiving (Note 1) from PTFE resin molding and extrusionmaterials.NOTE 1Skiving is the process of continuously shaving a film on alathe from the outer surface to the core of a molded cylindrical tube ofmaterial.NOTE 2Abbreviations have been approved from Terminology D1

4、600.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are for informa-tion only.1.3 The following hazard caveat pertains only to the testmethod portion, Section 8, of this specification: This standarddoes not purport to address all of the safety
