It supersedes BS1902-5.0:1983, which is withdrawn. This Section serves a
6、s an introduction to the whole of Part5 of BS1902, the general arrangement of which is shown on the following page, together with a list of the Sections of Part5. The Sections are published separately. Each method in Part5 is suitable for use as a laboratory method, or as a referee method, unless ot
7、herwise stated in the scope of the Section concerned. Any appendices to the Sections of Part5 describe alternative methods, or alternatives to some portions of the methods, which may be used in the circumstances described in the introduction to the appendix concerned. Unless otherwise specified in t
8、he scope of the Section concerned, each method is applicable to both dense shaped and shaped insulating products. At the time of publishing this revision, European standards are being prepared for some of the methods listed, which therefore have not been recently reviewed. A British Standard does no
