23、degreeofsupervision.Formultifuelfiringsystemsusing separateorcombinedburners,theserequirementsapplytotheoiland/orgasfiringpartinvolved. 37、erroomortheboilerareaandcanbeoperatedmanuallyorbyremotecontrol, orbyanemergencyswitch. 4.1.2 Someliquidfuelssuchasheavyfueloilshallbepreheatingtoachievetheviscosityrequiredforproperat omisation. Anyheatsourcethatcanbecutoffimmediatelyifrequired,andtheratingofwhichcanbeautomaticallycontrolled, canbeu

38、sedforoilpreheating.Openflamesshallnotbepermitted.Thefueloiltemperatureshallnotattainthefuel oilflashpointatatmospherepressure. Eachfueloilpreheatingsystemshallbeautomaticallytemperaturecontrolled.Atemperatureindicatorshallbefitted downstreamofthepreheatingsystem.Asuitablecutoutfortheheatingsourcesh

39、allbeprovidedtoprevent overheatingoftheoil.Inaddition,aminimumtemperaturelimitingdeviceshallalsobeprovidedtoensureadequate atomisation. Forpressurizedpreheaters,therequirementsforpressurevesselsshallbeapplied,includingoverpressure protection.Anyescapingoilshallbesafelydischarged. 4.2Fuel lines 4.2.1

40、 Fuellines,includinggasketsandvalvesshallbedesignedandlaidouttowithstandthemechanical,chemi calandthermalloadstowhichtheyareexposedinservice.Onlyfireresistantpipingmaterialshallbepermitted. Isolationvalvesshallbeprovidedbetweentheburnerandthefuellines. 4.2.2 Thefuellinesshallbetightandproperlyfixed.

41、Insystemssubjectedtovibrationstheresultingstresses shallbeminimizedtoavoidleakage. 4.2.3 Flexiblelinesmaybeusedforconnectingtheburnertothefixedpiping.Forfueloilinthepreheatedstate, onlyjacketedmetallichosesshallbepermitted.Isolatedvalvesshallbeinstalled. Flexiblelinesmaybeusedinsteadofcompensatorsat

42、protectedlocations.Foroil,theselinesshouldbejacketed metallichoses,otherwisetheyneedaprotectivedeviceconsistingofe.g.adoublelinewithanoilmonitorwhich switchesofftheoilsupplypumpincaseofanoilleakage.Forgas,theselinesshallbecorrugatedsteelpipes. Allflexiblelinesshallbeasshortaspossibleandbeinstalledwi

43、thadequatebendingradii.Theflexiblelinesandthe connectionsshallcarrythemanufacturerssymbolsandindicationofthenominalcarrypressure.Thedesign pressureshallbeatleast1,5timesthemaximumallowablepressure.Thelinesshallbeprotectedagainst unacceptableexternalheating. 4.2.4 Toprotectfuellinesagainstunacceptablehighpressure,automaticcontrolandsafetydevicesshallbepro vided.Foroillines,pressurereliefvalvesshallbeinstalled.Protectionofoilpumpsandtheeffectofpressurerisein linesbetweenclosedshutoffdevicesduetoheatingshallalsobetakenintoconsideration.Forgaslinesthenec essarypr
