Thetypeofprotectivelayershallbeselectedonthebasisoftheabilitytoprevent,orlimittoanacceptablelevel, chemicalattackonthelaminate.Inordertodothis,itshallbechemicallyresistanttotheserviceconditions,allow limiteddiffusionofservicefluidsandshallnotsufferenvironmentalstresscracking.TheTPLmayrequir

39、estress relieftopreventenvironmentalstresscracking,seeprEN131213. TherequiredthicknessoftheprotectivelayershallbeinaccordancewithTable1. Whenrequired,flammabilityand/orelectricalconductivityshallbetakenintoaccountand/ortheprotectivelayer shallbeselectedonthebasisofitsabilitytomaintainthepurityofthes

Theinitialcontactlayerapplieddirectlytothethermoplasticliningshallbereinforcedwithchoppedstrandmatwith 300g/m 2 to450g/m 2 .Theminimumbondstrengt
