BS EN 138485:2017EN 13848-5:2017 (E) 4 1 Scope This European Standard defines the minimum requirements for the quality levels of track geometry, and spec

29、ifies the safety related limits for each parameter as defined in EN 13848-1 and measured by any track geometry measurement system as defined in EN 13848-2, EN 13848-3 and EN 13848-4. This European Standard covers the following topics: immediate action limits (IAL); recommendations on tolerance level

30、s for isolated defects; relative importance of parameters with respect to the vehicle behaviours. The necessity to measure, the frequency of measurements and the selection of measured parameters are not covered by this European Standard. This European Standard applies to high-speed and conventional

31、lines, including switches and crossings, of 1 435 mm and wider gauge railways provided that the vehicles operated on those lines comply with EN 14363 and other vehicle safety standards. This European Standard does not apply to Urban Rail Systems. 2 Normative references The following documents, in wh

39、 R is the curve radius (in m) BS EN 138485:2017EN 13848-5:2017 (E) 22 Annex D (informative) A-Deviations A-deviation: National deviation due to regulations, the alteration of which is for the time being outside the competence of the CEN-CENELEC national member. This European Standard falls under Dir

40、ective 2008/57/EC. NOTE (from CEN/CENELEC IR Part 2:2015, 2.16) Where standards fall under EC Directives or Regulations, it is the view of the Commission of the European Communities (OJ No C 59; 19820309) that the effect of the decision of the Court of Justice in case 815/79 Cremonini/Vrankovich (Eu

41、ropean Court Reports 1980, p. 3583) is that compliance with A-deviations is no longer mandatory and that the free movement of products complying with such a standard should not be restricted within the EC except under the safeguard procedure provided for in the relevant Directive or Regulation. Clau

42、se Deviation 7.2 and 7.6 Switzerland In addition to the requirements in 7.2 “Track gauge” and 7.6 “Twist” of EN 138485:2017, the requirement of the executing provisions of the Railway ordinance (SR 742.141.11 / http:/www.admin.ch/ch/d/sr/c742_141_11.html) and the complementary provisions of Regulati

43、on R 220.46 have also to be complied with in Switzerland. According to these regulations: the minimum track gauge is 1 430 mm; within existing curves and radii in which the cant exceeds the value u = (r -50)/1,5 mm, the twist appearing in the track in service shall not exceed the value of 3 mm/m for

44、 base-lengths greater than or equal to 1,3 m. On such curves, check rails or rail lubrication systems are not necessary. Justification: In Switzerland, the upper limits of cant values in existing curves can be exceeded if the following measures (cf. 7.6) are provided: a good track quality (twist 3 m

45、m/m); wheel flange lubrication on the locomotives/traction units. BS EN 138485:2017EN 13848-5:2017 (E) 23 Annex ZA (informative) Relationship between this European Standard and the essential requirements of EU Directive 2008/57/EC This European Standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN

46、/CENELEC/ETSI by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association to provide a means of conforming to Essential Requirements of the Directive 2008/57/EC1. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive and has been implemented as a natio

47、nal standard in at least one Member State, compliance with the clauses of this standard given in Table ZA.1 for Infrastructure confers, within the limits of the scope of this standard, a presumption of conformity with the corresponding Essential Requirements of that Directive and associated EFTA reg
