NOTE Priortocoating,thesteelreinforcingbarsshouldbeinspected
31、fortheirsuitabilityforcoating.Steelreinforcingbars withsharpedgesontheribs,rolled-insliversorothersurfaceimperfectionsaredifficulttocoatproperly.Thecoatingwilltendto flowawayfromsharpedgesontheribs,rolled-insliversorothersurfaceimperfections,andcouldresultininadequatecoating thicknessatthesepoints.
32、4.2 Steelwireorweldedfabric SteelwireorweldedfabrictobecoatedshallbeinaccordancewithISO10544orISO6935-3oranyotherproduct standardasspecifiedbythepurchaser,andshallbefreeofcontaminantssuchasoil,greaseorpaint. 4.3 Epoxypowder TheepoxypowderuponapplicationshallbeinaccordancewithISO14656.Uponrequest,the
33、purchasershallbe providedwithtestdataforreview. Thepurchasershallbefurnishedwithawrittencertificatethatproperlyidentifiesthebatchdesignationoftheepoxy powderusedintheorder,statesquantity,dateofmanufacture,nameandaddressofthepowdermanufacturerand astatementthatthesuppliedepoxypowderisthesamecompositi
34、onasthatprequalifiedinaccordancewith ISO14656.Themanufactureroftheepoxypowdershallfurnishaninfraredtraceandadifferentialscanning calorimetrytraceofthepowderbatchesusedinpreparingthecoatedsteelreinforcingbars,wireandweldedfabric aspartofthecertificate. Ifspecifiedintheorder,arepresentative0,2kgsample
35、oftheepoxypowdershallbesuppliedtothepurchaser fromeachbatch.Thesampleshallbepackagedinanairtightcontainerandidentifiedbybatchdesignation.ISO14654:1999(E) 4 Theepoxypowdershallbemaintainedinatemperature-controlledenvironmentfollowingthewritten recommendationsofthepowdermanufactureruntilreadyforuse,at
36、whichpointtheepoxypowderwillbegiven sufficienttimetoreachtheapproximateplantambienttemperature.Theepoxypowdershallbeusedwithinthe powdermanufacturerswrittenrecommendedshelflife. 4.4 Sealingmaterial Thecoatingsystem,foruseassealingmaterial,shallbecompatiblewiththefusion-bondedepoxycoating,inertin con
37、crete,andrecommendedbytheepoxypowdermanufacturer.Thesealingmaterialshallbesuitableforrepairing damagedcoatingsatthemanufacturer,fabricatororatthesite,andshallbeinaccordancewithISO14656. Whenspecifiedintheorder,sealingmaterialshallbesuppliedtothepurchaser. 5 Surfacepreparationofsteelreinforcingbar,wi
38、reandweldedfabric Thesurfaceofthesteelreinforcingbar,wireandweldedfabricshallbecleanedbyabrasiveblaststeelgrit.The amountofresidualmillscaleonthecleanedsurfaceshallnotexceed5%whentestedinaccordancewithC.10. Averageblastprofileroughnessdepthreadingsof50mto70m,definedasthearithmeticmeandeviationofthe
39、assesedprofile,R a ,inISO4287:1997,shallbeconsideredsuitableasananchorpattern. NOTE1 Theuseofa“profilometer“typesurfacemeasurementinstrumentwhichmeasuresthepeakcountaswellasthe maximumprofiledepthisrecommended. AsteelgritofRockwellhardnessC55orhigher,suchasGL-25,shallbeused.Preferably100%gritshallbe

NOTE Somenationalstandardsincludeaqualificationtesttodeterminetherelativebondstrengthofribbedsteel reinforcingbarsinconcrete.IntheUSA,forexample,relativebondstrengthisdeterminedwithbeam-endtestspecimensin accordancewithASTMA944.Inthequalificationtesting,therelativebondstrengthofthecoatedbarsisrequiredtobeatleast 85%oftherelativebondstrengthoftheuncoatedbars.For
