Scope This document describes the application specifications of the Teletex terminal equipment. The specificati

9、on is based on the Red Book versions (1984) of the relevant CCITT Recommendations and it reflects the amendments to those Recommendations agreed in CCITT and CEPT. In addition it enumer- ates the various administration-specific technical requirements, with the aim to establish a common set of CEPT t

10、echnical requirements in forthcoming issues of this Recommendation. Therefore this Recommendation is to be seen as a first step toward harmonizing Teletex terminal equipment. Other CEPT specifications dealing with Teletex terminal equipment or Teletex services are referenced in this document. The in

11、troduction of Functional Standards in this Recommendation is made as far as the definitions of these Functional Standards were available. Note. Throughout this Recommendation the term “Administration” should be taken to read as either “Administration” or “Recognized Private Operating Agency”. .2. In

12、troduction -2.1. This Recommendation defines the minimum requirements for terminal equipment participating in the European Teletex service. The Teletex terminal described here allows to produce character coded texts and to transmit their true contents and form to a receiving terminal complying the s

13、ame specifications. Teletex systems such as cluster, PABXs, etc., may need additional requirements. .2.2. 1.3. Structure of this Recommendation This Recommendation includes a number of Functional Standards, each describing a particular aspect of the Teletex service communication needs. For each Func

14、tional Standard, the following points have been considered: (a) function definition (b) scenario (c) reference to working set of standards (d) statement of conformance requirements Each particular item, where necessary, has been subdivided into : - section 1: - section 2: - section 3 : - section 4:

45、a CSS. The three digit number shall be included in the ?Additional information field? of the terminal identification format (ref. CCITT Recommendation F.200). The procedure shall also be used between a Teletex terminal and other special central Teletex equipment (e.g. a Teletex enquiry system). Non-

46、Standardised Capability Identifier For Teletex terminals in the UK, the octets (if present) following the parameter identifier and the length indicator are assigned as follows: 1st octet: The registered CCITT Country Code as specified in Recommendation T.35. The UK T.35 code of another country may b

47、e used for those terminals that are of overseas origin. 2nd and 3rd octets: Supplier?s code, The sequence FF FF (hex) indicates that the supplier?s code is not knownlused. The sequence FF XX (where XX = any value other than FF) allows suppliers to share common facilities. Model Identification code.
