2、ent for Military Specification MIL-H-52641A(ME) for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This CID covers the general requirements for electric heaters that are classified as being 1,500 watts, 1 15 volts, AC, with fan. Heaters covered in this CID are intended for commerciallindustrial applications. 2. CL
3、ASSIFICATION. This CID uses a dassification system which is induded in the Part or Identification Number (PIN) (see section 6). 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 3.1 General. All heaters shall meet the requirements of this CID. All heaters procured commercially shall meet the Underwriters Laboratories (UL
4、) standard 499 as well as the requirements of this CID. 3.2 Desisin and Construdion. Heaters suppled under this CID shall the manufacturers standard commercial product. 3.3 Environmental Reauirements. The heater shall operate in the “fan“ mode in any ambient temperature from plus 110 to minus 50 deg
5、rees Fahrenheit, and shall operate in the heat“ mode in any ambient temperature from plus 85 to minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The heater shall not be damaged and its operation shall not be impaired by storage at ambent temperatures of plus 155 degrees Fahrenheit for periods up to 4 hours daily and mi
6、nus 50 degrees Fahrenheit, without solar radiation, for up to 3 conseaitwe days. The heater shall show no peeling of paint, corrosion, malfunctioning, damage, electrical shorts, or other irregular operation after exposure to ambient humid at a maximum temperature of 155 degrees Fahrenheit. 3.4 &e. 7、he maximum dimensions of this heater shall be 12”xWxlT with a tolerance of I4” in any one direction. 3.5 ElectromaQnetc Interference. When specifiad in the contract or order, susceptibility characteristics of the heater shall conform to MIL-STD46lD, Notice 1. Table A-1 of the Appendix. 3.6 m. The ma
8、terial finish shall be in accordance with the manufacturers standard practice and in accordance with the requirements of section 6.2. 3.7 Reriulatow Reauirements.
