2、e. 1. SCOPE 1.1 m. This specification defines requirements for the Defense Mapping Agencys (DMA) 1:250,000 Scale Joint Operations Graphics Series 1501A (Air) and 1501 (Ground). 1.2 Purgose. The purpose of this specification is to assure uniformity of treatment among all mapping and charting elements
3、, primarily DMA and its contractors, engaged in a coordinated production and maintenance program for this product. requirements are stated in terms of DMAs Feature Attribute Coding Standard (FACS), to maintain consistency between various production methods. The use of FACS in this specification is n
4、ot intended to imply any external digital data coding standard used by DMAs Digital Production System (DPS). DPS is the primary intended, but not exclusive, method for production of this product at this time. The Digital Geographic Information Exchange Standard (DIGEST) Feature Attribute Coding Cata
5、log (FACC) , not FACS, is the approved coding standard for the exchange of digital geographic data, as well as the standard for DMAs Vector Product Format product line.
