8、bb7 065913L 77b = BS EN IS0 10545-15 : 1997 National foreword This British Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee B/539 and is the English language version of EN IS0 1054515 : 1997 Ceramic tik -Pur? 15: Detemzinution of lead and cadmium given off by glazed tiles, published by the European

9、 Committee for Standardization (CEN). It is technically equivalent to IS0 1054515 : 1995, published by the International Organization for Standardization (BO). It is a new test and does not supersede a Part of BS 6431. This Part of BS EN IS0 10545 was drafted by ISO!E 189 as a Part of IS0 10545, whi

10、ch has now been approved by CEN as a Part of EN IS0 10545. The editorial modifications mentioned in the EN IS0 foreword have been made in this BS EN IS0 text. The tiies are exposed to a 4 % solution of acetic acid ponded on the glazed face. After 24 h, the solution is analysed for extracted lead and

11、 cadmium. Atomic absorption is given as a possible method.
