SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are fine fibered, flexible, resilient blankets of fibrous glass,

3、bonded with a thermosetting resin. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for materials used as thermal insulators and sound absorbers. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODU

4、CTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 COLOR Black or Neutral 3.3 THICKNESS (FLTM BN 023-02) As specified on engineering drawings with the following tolerances: . Under 1.0 in (2.54 cm):

5、1/8 in (3.2 mm) -1/16 in (1.6 mm) . 1.0 in (2.54 cm) and over: +1/4 in (6.35 mm) -1/8 in (3.2 mm) 3.4 CONSTRUCTION 3.4.1 Fiber Diameter 0.00013 - 0.00031 in (3.3 - 7.9 m) Test Method: Measure the diameter of 10 fibers using a calibrated microscope or other suitable means and report the average valu

12、ion rubber base adhesive, and/or ESB-M2G148-A, high heat resistant adhesive, through more than 25% of the original material thickness. In addition, there shall be no through “spot“ bleeding, in any area of the material. Test Method: (1) Prepare a 12 x 12 in (300 x 300 mm) specimen. (2) Apply 15 - 20

13、 g of adhesive uniformly over the middle 12 x 12 in (300 x 300 mm) area of a 12 x 15 in (300 x 380 mm) phosphate coated and primed steel panel. (3) Place the sample on the treated surface of the panel, then roll with a 12 in (300 mm) roller weighing 5 pounds (2.3 kg), without applying additional pre

14、ssure. (4) Turn the panel upside down and rest the pad on 3 equally spaced rods. Each rod will have a 1/2 in (12.7 mm) diameter and be securely fastened to a 12 x 12 in (300 x 300 mm) masonite board. Place the assembly in a mechanical convection oven maintained at 102 +/- 2 C. Load the test panel wi

15、th sufficient weight to compress the pad 50% over each of the three rods. The weight must be evenly distributed to give uniform compression.
