No leaks or bond separations, cracksor fla ws are permitted at the tube to nylon epoxy joint.Perform tensile strength test at 25 +/- 1 EC.Test Sample Preparat
10、ion:. Fabr icate aluminum tubes and mold nylon parts tospecification (see appendix I & II). Nylon samples must be dried in a convection oven to insuremoisture content of 0.3 % max per ASTM D 789. Clean aluminum tubes and nylon parts with trichloroethyleneto remove any contaminants. Preheat epoxy to
11、50 EC and inject 0.5 mL of epoxy intonylon part recess. Insert aluminum tube slowly i nto nylonrecess until tube bottoms out. Cure test samples at 137 +/- 3 EC for 55 minutes withassembled samples in an upright position. Perfo rm strength test with a jaw separation rate of 15mm/minute. A minimum of
12、6 samples are to be tested for each tensilestre ngth test (original and after coolant immersion andthermal s hock) at 25 +/- 1 EC. 13、 3.6 STORAGE STABILITYShall be stored in sealed containers at te mperatures below 25 EC awayfrom all sources of heat. Minimum shelf life of the material shall be3 months.3.7 EASE OF CLEANINGTest Method : Apply a 5 mm bead of adhesive to a clean 75 x 200 mmaluminum panel. Allow to air dry at 25 +/- 1
14、 EC for 2 h. To removeadhesive, wiper panels with a rag wetted with toluene, ketone (MEK)or trichloroethylene.3.8 QUALITYShall be a smooth homogeneous mixture, free from foreign materialsand properties detrimental to normal operations. The material mustmaintain uniformity up to 3 months.3.9 SUPPLIER
15、 CERTIFICATIONEa ch batch of material shall be tested for conformance to thefollowing properties:. Viscosity at 25 +/- 1 EC. Solids Content. Weight Per Volume. Hardness, Durometer “D“ at 25 +/- 1 EC and 120 +/- 2 EC. Tensile Shear Strength, shall be 20.6 MPa, min(ASTM D 1002, 10 mm overlap aluminum
16、to aluminum,Alloy Type 2024-T3, cured for 55 minutes at 137+/- 3 EC)3.10 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent inal l characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pri or to making any change in the properties, composition

Suppliers desiring approval ofthe ir materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to th
21、e affected Materials Engineeringactivity its own laboratory rep ort to the specification (test results, notnominal values), the material designation and code number, and testspecim ens for Ford evaluation.
