2、 POLYACRYLIC RUBBER, HIGH TEMPERATURE - ESP-M2D254-A2 OIL SEAL NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The polyacrylic material defined by this specification has good high temperature properties. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used in transmission oil seals. 3.

3、 REQUIREMENTS These tests are to be conducted on ASTM slabs and buttons and/or actual seals. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 ORIGINAL PROPERTIES

GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 Test procedure will qualify the actual seals for use at -40 C. 5.2 When actual seal is an “O“ ring or other non-rectangular cross section 60% compression set is acceptable. 5.3 Use a 90 mm long seal segment and pull at 255 mm/min for tensile strength. 5.4 When ASTM slabs are tested, durometer “A“ hardness (ASTM D 2240) may be used in place of microhardness (ASTM D 1415).
