7、016) i Recommendation ITU-T G.7710/Y.1701 Common equipment management function requirements Amendment 1 Summary Recommendation ITU-T G.7710/Y.1701 addresses the equipment management functions (EMFs) inside a transport network element that are common to multiple technologies. For example, common appl

These applications result in the specification of common EMF functions and their requirements. The 2012 revision of this Recommendation has incorp

ITU-T G.7710/Y.1701 (2012)/Amd.1 (11/2016) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications, information and communication technologies (ICTs). The ITU Telecommunica

16、tion Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly

17、(WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fa

18、ll within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with this R

19、ecommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure, e.g., interoperability or applicability) and compliance with the Recommendation is achieved when all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory language

20、 such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation is required of any party. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTSITU draws attention to the possibility that the practice or implementation of this Recom

ITU takes no position concerning the evidence, validity or applicability of claimed Intellectual Property Rights, whether asserted by ITU members or others outside of the Recommendation development process. As of the date of app

However, implementers are cautioned that this may not represent the latest information and are therefore strongly urged to consult the TSB

ITU-T G.7710/Y.1701 (2012)/Amd.1 (11/2016) 1 Recommendation ITU-T G.7710/Y.1701 Common equipment management function requirements Editorial note: This is a complete-text publication. Modifications introduc

29、ed by this amendment are shown in revision marks relative to Recommendation ITU-T G.7710/Y.1701 (2012). 1 Scope This Recommendation specifies those equipment management function (EMF) requirements that are common to multiple transport technologies. Eventually this Recommendation will include all the

30、 common management functions. This Recommendation specifies the capabilities required no matter what technology and where there are differences in requirements for a given feature between technologies, the requirements will be specified in the technology-specific Recommendation. See Appendix I for a

31、n overview of common and technology-specific Recommendations. A future version of this Recommendation will elaborate on specific requirements within a given capability. It must be noted that for a network element (NE) it is not mandatory to support all described applications, and consequently not al

32、l specified functions. Depending on the position in the network, the NE may support a subset of the functions. Packages with subsets of these functions can be found in the technology-specific Recommendations. 2 References The following ITU-T Recommendations and other references contain provisions wh

All Recommendations and other references are subject to revision; users of this Recommendation are therefore encouraged to investigate the possibility of
