2、(SHIPS) which is cancelled. Ab s tract This Commercial Item Description covers requirements for an audio entertainment distribution system that incorporates paging features. Integral components include a central switching/control/amplification equipment complex plus remote output station equipment t
3、hat drives headphones and speakers. The system is intended for use to distribute audio entertainment programs and paging announcements to speakers at group listening stations and to headphone jacks for use at personal listening stations. Salient Characteristics 1. Audio program inputs. The audio ent
4、ertainment distribution system shall accept a minimum of eight stereo audio program inputs unless otherwise specified in the contract or order. The audio entertainment distribution system shall accept a minimum of two paging inputs provided in a standard EIA SE-104 line- level format. 3. Switchin
7、g. The system shall include switching that makes all audio input programming selectably available at each output channel. The capability to provide the same output simultaneously over both the left and right channels from a single monaural program source shall be provided. 4. Audio program outputs.
8、The audio entertainment distribution system shall provide the number of stereo (i.e., two-channel) outputs specified in the contract or order. The outputs shall be provided in a standard EIA SE-104 70 V line-level format. 5. Power output. Minimum power output shall be at least 150 Watts rms per chan
9、nel. 6. Frequency response. Frequency response shall be from 50 Hz to 12 KHz at f3 dB, or better. 7. Total harmonic distortion. Total harmonic distortion shall be less than two percent. 8. Variations between full load and no load shall not cause the output voltage to vary by more than f 3 dB at any
10、frequency from 50 Hz to 12 KHz. Regulation. 9. Signal-to-noise ratio. The signal-to-noise ratio of the system, from inputs to listening station outputs, shall be at least 60 dB. 10. Crosstalk. The crosstalk suppression between any two channels in the system shall at least 60 dB. 11. Dynamic range. T
11、he dynamic range of the system shall be at least 60 dB-. 12. Tone controls. The system shall include separate bass and treble tone controls for each output channel. Bass control range shall be at least f 12 dB at 100 Hz, and treble control range shall be at least f 12 dB at 7.5 KHz with respect to a
12、 nominal 1000 Hz reference frequency. 13. Volume controls. The system shall include a separate volume control for each channel. Volume control range shall be from O percent to 100 percent of maximum output. 14. Keyed muting control. The system shall include a keyed muting control that enables the si
13、multaneous muting of all output channels. The systems shall accept a switch-closure discrete signal as the muting key. The system shall include an attenuation control that enables the simultaneous attenuation of all output channels. The attenuation level shall be 13 k 3 decibel (dB). 16. Output monitori
15、ng. The audio entertainment distribution system shall include an output level meter and a headphone output jack. The headphone output shall have an impedance compatible with 400-ohm headsets. All of the audio program outputs shall be selectably available for driving the output level meter and headph
16、one output jack. 17. Overload protection. All input and output electronics shall be overload protected so that no equipment will be damaged if input or output rated levels are exceeded. 18. Power. The equipment shall be nominally powered by 115 volts, 60 Hz, single phase electrical power. An ac inpu
17、t on/off power switch shall be provided. Input power shall be fused. 19. Personal listening station equipment sets. Personal listening station (PLS) equipment sets shall include: (a) One stereo channel selector on/off switch. (b) One standard subminiature stereo headphone jack (EIA 331). (c) One vol
18、ume control. The PLS channel selector switch shall enable user to select any one of the system channel outputs and shall be labeled as to function. The PLS volume control shall cover a range of from O to 100 percent of full output power wherein full power supplied to the PLS shall be 50 mW and the h
19、eadphone impedence will be 3000 ohms. The number of PLS equipment sets required shall be as specified in the contract or order. 20. Group listening station equipment sets, Group listening station (GLS) equipment sets shall include: (a) One output channel selector switch. (b) One volume level control

The equipment shall be mountable in a standard 480 mm equipment rack (see EIA-RS-310) either directly or via an adapter, The co
23、mbined weight of all of the distribution system components, excluding cable and PLS and GLS hardware, shall not exceed 180 Kg. 22. Temperature. The system equipments shall meet the stated accuracy requirements over an operational temperature range of from O degrees C to +50 degrees C. 23. Safety. Th
