Each sample fitting selected in accordance with 4.4.2.1shall be visually and dimensionally examined to determine conformance with therequirement parag

The proof pressure test of the hose assembliescontaining the sample fi
20、ttings shall be conducted in accordance with ASTM D 380except that the samples shall be in accordance with 4.3.1. The proof pressureshall be 200 percent of the maximum working pressure specified in the applicablespecification sheet, and shall be held for not less than 1 minute nor greater than5minut
21、es. The rate of pressure rise shall be at the following rates: a71(a) For sizes -32 and smaller, the rate of pressure increase shall benot less than 15,000 psi nor greater than 25,000 psi per minute.(b) For sizes greater than -32 the pressure increase shall not exceed1000 psi per minute.The pressure
22、 rise shall be at a uniform rate. The proof pressure shall be 200percent of the maximum working pressure specified in the applicable associateddetail specification and shall be held for not less than 1 minute nor greater than5 minutes. Fittings which pass this test are acceptable for use. Evidence o
23、fleakage past the fitting or separation of the fitting from the hose shallconstitute failure of this test.4.6.1.1 After the proof test age all samples per 3.5.1.1.4.6.2 Hydraulic fluid circulation. Sample hose assemblies shall be filledwith hydraulic fluid in accordance with MIL-L-2104, MIL-H-5606 o
24、r MIL-L-17331 andpressurized to between 75 and 100 psi. Unless otherwise specified in theindividual associated detail specification, the temperature shall be raised fromambient to 180 +/- 10”F and the fluid circulated through the hose assembly at aflow rate of not less than 3 gallons per minute. The
25、 ambient temperature shall bemaintained at 75 +/- 15”F. Every 24 hours the pressure shall be increased tomaximum working pressure listed in the applicable associated detail specificationand maintained for not less than 5 minutes. At the completion of this test, the hose assembly shall bepressurized to the maximum working pressure specified in the applicable associateddetail specification, with the pressure held for not le
27、ss than 5 minutes.Nonconformance to 3.5.2 shall constitute failure of this test.4.6.3 ImDulse. Hose assemblies fitted with end fittings being qualifiedshall be subjected to impulse testing to the peak pressure specified on theapplicable associated detail specification. Hose assemblies shall be subje
28、cted toan impulse rate of from 30 to 80 cycles per minute, with the hydraulic fluidtemperature of not less than 120”F nor greater than 130”F (unless otherwisespecified on the applicable associated detail specification) for a minimum of150,000 cycles. At the beginning of each pressure cycle, the peak
29、 pressurespecified on the applicable associated detail specification shall be attained.The applicable working pressure shall be attained before leveling off (see figures1, 2 or 3 of MIL-H-24135 or MIL-H-24136 as applicable).4.6.3.1 Retest and impulse averaing. In the event of a hose failure duringim
30、pulse testing, an additional hose assembly shall be tested and the results ofboth hose assemblies shall be averaged. The conditions for testing an additionalhose assembly are as follows:(a) If the averaging is for a hose qualification as well as a fittingqualification the conditions of MIL-H-24135 o
31、r MIL-H-24136 shallapply as applicable.(b) If the test is for fitting qualification only, the fitting shall beremoved from the failed hose and reset on a new length of hose andthe test continued until the required number of cycles have beenreached.NOTE: If the failure involved fitting separation fro
32、m the hose, averaging shallnot be permitted. The components of the failed hose assembly shall be analyzed todetermine the cause of the fitting separation from the hose. After correctiveaction has been taken, a new test, using new fittings and new hose shall beconducted. Nonconformance to 3.5.3 shall
33、 constitute failure of this test.4.6.4 Burst pressure. The burst pressure test of the hose assembly shall beconducted in accordance with ASTM D 380 except that the samples shall be inaccordance with 4.4,3. The pressure shall be raised at a uniform rate as follows:(a) For sizes -32 and smaller the ra
34、te of pressure rise shall be notless than 15,000 psi and not greater than 25,000 psi per minute.(b) For sizes greater than -32 the rate of pressure rise shall notexceed 1000 psi per minute.The burst pressure shall be 400 percent of the maximum working pressure specifiedin the applicable associated d
35、etail specification. Evidence of leakage, deforma-tion of the fitting or fitting separation at or below the specified test pressureshall constitute failure of this test. Fittings used for the burst test shall notbe acceptable for further use. Noncompliance with 3.5.4 shall constitute failureof this

Sample packages and the inspection of thepackaging, preservation, (packing and marking) for shipment, stowage, and storageshall be in accordance with
37、 the requirements of section 5 and thedocumentsspecified therein.5. PACKAGING(The preparation for delivery requirements specified herein apply only fordirect Government acquisitions.)5.1 Packain requirements. The packaging (preservation, packing andmarking) requirements shall be in accordance with M
38、IL-H-775 for the level ofpreservation (A, C, or Commercial), the level of packing (A, B, C, or Commercial),and marking including other packaging acquisitioning options therein, as specified(see 6.2).6. NOTES(This section contains informationmay be helpful, but is not mandatory.)of a general or expla

Fittings are intended for use with hoses conforming toMIL-H-24135 and MIL-H-24136 in piping systems as flexible connections to resil-iently mounted (sound mounted) equipment but may be used for other applicationwhich do not exceed the pressure or temperature limit
40、s of the hose selected.6.2 Acquisition requirements.6.2.1.1 Fittins. With respect to products requiring qualification, awardswill be made only for products which are, at the time set for opening of bids,qualified for inclusion in Qualified Products List QPL 24787 whether or not suchproducts have actually been so listed by that .date. The attention
43、of thecontractors is called to these requirements, and manufacturers are urged toarrange to hose the products that they propose to offer to the Federal Governmenttest for qualification in order that they may be eligible to be awarded contractsor purchase orders for the products covered by this speci
