4、specifications, standards, drawings, and phlications required by contractors in connectiun with specific procurernt functions should be obtained fom the procuring activity or as directed by the contracting officer . ) 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 General. 3.1.1 Conflicts Between Specifications. Unless otherw

5、ise specified by the basic contract, conflicts which exist-between the requirements of this specification and any referenced documents or guide, this specification shall take precedence, 3.1.2 General Manner of Preparation. Except as otherwise specified herein, the general requirements for technical

6、 manual preparation shall be in accordance with MIL-M-38784. However, because the manual is a listing normally prepared by campirter output, all pages including front matter, should be prepared as a turn page and asserrbled head to toe. 7、. 3i1.3 Data Listhgs. Requirements for technical data listings established by this specification shall be prepared in accordance with the data item description and the applicable technical manual contract requirement. 3.2 Arrangement. 3.2.1 The Technical Documentation List shall be so arranged to fa

8、cilitate application and technical guidance for publications administration, documentation management, and line and shop maintenance and repair usage. The Technical Documentation List shall be arranged in the following sequence: a. Front Matter b. Table of Contents c. Section I - Introduction 3. Sec

9、tion II - Applicable Technical Documents 2. Section III - Systems, Subsystems, Component and Other Repairable Technical Documentation f. Section IV - Ground Support Equipment Technical Documentation 3.3- Content Requirements. 3.3.1 Front Matter. The Technical Documentation List shall have an appropr

10、iate cover, title page, and List of Effective Pages as defined by MIL-M-38784. Cover and Title Page shall be identical except the issue date shall be omitted from the Cover Page. 3.3.2 Table of Contents. The Table of Contents shall be in accordance with MIL-M-38784 with the following exception: a. T

11、o expedite access to information, the table shall list the first manual number, part number or nomenclature listed on each left hand (upper) Page * 3.3.3 Technical Content. The Technical Documentation List shall include listings of all technical manuals, data packages, drawings provisioned in lieu o

12、f technical documents for intermediase level support and other perti- nent publications requird in support of the weapon or system, i.e., Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE); Government Furnished Equipment (GFE); Depot Data Packages; Wiring/Signal Flow Drawings; Manuals of other Naval Commands; Man

13、uals prepared by other elements of the Department of Defense (DOD); and all com- mercial documentation regardless of official government code numbers assign- ments. The listings shall cover all systems, subsystems, components within a 3 Licensed by Information Handling Servicessystem, components, eq

14、uipments and ali. repairable subassemblies, moduleS.and other Shop Repairable Assemblies (SRAS). 3.3.4 Section I, Introduction. This section shall include an explanation covering the purpose of this technical manual, include general information concerning the weapon system and its documeritation, ex

15、plain the method of arrangement and explain how this manual is to be applied or used. 3.3.4.1 Purpose, Include a brief explanation covering the Technical Documentation Lists purpose and the possible -areas of its application. 3.3.4.2 General Information. Include a brief description of the weapon sys

16、tems or missile being covered, a short definition of its general maintenance and repair philosophy and an explanation of the categories and types of documentation selected in support of this maintenance criteria. Special considerations and unique operating and maintenance requirements shall be ident

17、ified, special purpose publications, new documentation techniques or unique technical information shall also be defined. 3.3.4.3 Arrangement. The introduction shall define the Technical Docurnentation arrangement methodology. It shall explain the sectionalization, the contents of each section and th

18、e depth and scope of the coverage included. 3.3.4.4 How to use the Manual. This part of the introduction shall explain the assembly criteria and define all codes, abbreviations, and symbols used in the manual. It shall explain how the manual can be applied in various administrative or maintenance ap

19、plications, i.e., preparation of allowance lists, determination of automatic distribution requirements, investigation and selection of types of coverage available at different maintenance levels, etc. 3.3,5 Section II, Applicable Technical Documents. This section shall consist of a complete tabular

20、listing of all applicable Weapon System technical documents required for weapon system or missile support. The listing shall include all CFE, GFE, GSE, and other Navy, Army, Air Force or commercial technical manuals. The column breakdown of Section II shall be as shown in figure 1. The explanation o

21、f the various columns is as follows: a. Column 1. This column shall identify the appropriate DOD element, command or activity having technical update cognizance for the listed technical manual, Activity codes shall be as follows: (1) AA U.S. Army . (2) AF U.S. Air Force (3) CM Commercial Manual I_ 4

Column 2, Technical Document Number. Technical manuals and other documents shall be listed

23、 alphanumerically by their assigned code numbers. In the event the listed document is a joint manual issued by one or more services or commands, both numbers shall be listed, However, for listing purposes the NAVAIR number shall be listed first regardless of control cognizance, Control cognizance is

24、 identified by column 1. shall be listed directly below the NAVAIR numbers, indented two digits. For acquisition of Navy documents, the NAVSUP Pub 2002 listing shall be researched using the cognizant control commands identification number, The joint command or service numbers c. Column 3, Media. Thi

25、s column shall identify the reproduction media available for distribution to the field. Column 4, Technical Document Title. This column shall indicate the assigned technical document title. ture, model, series and part

27、 number. The type of manual, i.e., MIM, IPB, etc. shall be omitted. Emphasis shall be placed on the nomencla- e, Column 5, Security Classification. This column shall identify whether or not the technical manual is classified or unclassified. (1) U- Unclassified (2) G Classified, Confidential (3) S C

28、lassified Secret f. Column 6, Maiiitenance Usage. This column will be divided into four subcolumns , “O“ organizational, P“ intermediate, “D“ depot and “IPB“ . An “X“ rill be placecl in each column indicating the level of coverage in each manual, - g. Column 9, Model Application. This column shall c

29、ontain suitable coding to iZEspecif5.c application to models of the weapon sys tem/equip- ment. Explanation of the coding used shall be defined in Section I under General Information. h. Column 8 Technical Document Availability. This column shall indi- cate the mo= and year when the initial issue of

Column 2, Manufacturers Code, All vendor parts shall also require the listing of manufacturers codes, Code listings shall be in accordance with H1-1 and H4-2 Federal Supply Code for manufacturers. c. Column 3, Nomenclature. This

If coverage is required, but not available, the words UNDER REVIEW or UNDER PROCUREMENT shall be listed in the appropriate subcolumn. defined as a part number submitted to the Navy for possible procurement action but no decision has been

This column shall contain suitable coding to indicate specific application to models of the weapon system or equipment. 3.3.7 Section IV, Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Documentation. This s

41、ection shall consist of a cmplete tabular listing of all Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE) and- Common Ground Support Equipment (CGSE) that has been selected and approved for application in support of the weapon system or missile being covered. 3.3.7.1 The Section IV column breakdown shall be

42、 as displayed in figure 3 and as defined as follows: a. Column 1, Part Number, Model, Type. This column shall alpha- numerically identify all approved GSE, subassemblies and SRAS for which maintenance and repair data is required.
