SCOPE 1.1 Scope, This specification estblishes the design, performance, and acceptance requirements for the AN/DSM-96B Guided Weapon Test Set herein referred

The Guided Weapon Test Set AN/DSM-96B shall consist of the Guided Weapon Test Console OJ-115B/DSM-96, Guided Weapon Test Stand MT-3707C/DSM-74 and cable assemblies. -The test set shall be capable of testing all non telemetry Walleye weapons. Group OQ-169B/DSM-96A Test Set (see MIL-T-85472), th
15、e test sets shall also be capable of testing the Extended Range Data Link, Phase I and Phase II Walleye weapons. Weapon Test Console OJ-306B/DSM-96A, Phase I Antenna Shroud, Phase II Antenna Shroud, and Weapon Antenna Attenuator Load. Guided Weapon Test Set AN/DSM-96B and the Group OQ-169B/DSM-96A T
16、est Set interconnected in a weapon test configuration. Detail operational instructions are specified in NAVAIR 16-30DSM96-3 and NAVAIR 16-30DSM96-4. 3.2 Parts and materials. When used in conjunction with The Group OQ-169B/DSM-96A Test Set consists of Guided Figure 1 shows the 3.2.1 Nonstandard parts
17、 and material approval. Approval for the use of nonstandard parts and materials shall be obtained by the contractor as specified in MIL-STD-965. 3.2.2 Basic conformance. test set shall be as specified in MIL-T-17296. Parts shall be selected from those conforming to MIL-T-28800, unless the.parts sele
18、cted will not perform as required in the intended applications and environments specified herein, in which case 3.2.1 applies. Materials and parts selected for use in the 3.2.3 Interchangeability. The test shall meet the interchangeability requirements of MIL-T-17296. The drawings listed in DL 130AS
19、200 shall be the standard for measuring interchangeability of all applicable units, assemblies, subassemblies, and parts. 3.3 Design and construction. The test set shall be manufactured in accordance with the drawings and subsidiary specifications listed in DL 130AS200, except in so far as errors of
20、 omissions or commission on the .drawings may be incompatible with the requirements of this specification. In any case, it is a condition of final acceptance that the test set manufactured shall meet all the design, construction, and workmanship requirements of this specification and applicable acce

The test set shall operate as required, continuously or intermittently, for a period of at least 200 hours. this time, it sh
23、all not be necessary to readjust any controls that are inaccessible to the operator during normal use. During a 3.3.1.2 Operating life. The test set shall have a total operating life of 18,000 hours with minimum servicing and replacement of parts. 3.4 Standard conditions. The following conditions sh

The test set shall meet the specified performance within the ambient temperature limits of 32OF (
27、OOC) and 122OF (5OOC). 3.4.1.2 Altitude. The test set shall meet the specified performance at altitudes between O and 10,000 feet (normal ground). 3.4.2 Warm-up time. The time required for the test set (except the target simulator) to warm-up prior to operation shall be not greater than 30 minutes u

32、ll be equipped with heater overload protective devices. 3.5 Performance. The performance of the test set shall be as specified in 3.5.1 through 3.5.4.1 plus any and all performance requirements specified in DL 130AS200. Unless otherwise specified herein, these requirements shall apply under standard
33、 service conditions. When reduced performance requirements for service conditions are acceptable, such variations are speci fi ed herein. 3.5.1 Test Set, Guided Weapon AN/DSM-96B. The Test Set, Guided Weapon AN/DSM-96B, shall be manufactured in accordance with DL 130AS200, and shall meet all of the
34、requirements stated therein and in 3.6.1.1. the test set. Figure 1 shows 3.5.1.1 Test set functions (descriptive). The general functions of the test set shall be as follows: a. Provides inputs (mechanical, electrical, and optical) to the weapon under test (see table I). b. Verifies the flight-ready
35、condition (GO or NO-GO) of each assembled weapon (less wings and fins) under test thereon, for weapons listed in table I. (Fuze is not electrically checked.) c. Electrically isolates any control or guidance section of weapons listed (see table I) which exhibits a NO-GO indication for azimuth and ele
36、vation guidance signals, but not for azimuth and elevation gimbal angle signals. The optional gravity trim test wi.11 isolate between guidance section or control section failures. d. Rechecks the flight readiness of the reassembled weapon under test when the guidance section or control section has b
37、een replaced, 3.5.2 Test Console, Guided Weapon OJ-115B/DSM-96. The Test Stand, Guided Weapon MT-3707C/DSM-74, hereafter referred to as the test stand, shall be manufactured in a

When interconnected in accordance with DL 130AS200 and as shown on table II, with the proper input power ,applied (see 3.4.3), and when prope
