OSP implementation was impacted by a lack of shelf-ready standards and specifications for human-rated space flight. Additionally, OSP initially chose

The availability and application of up-to-date standards would simplify the procurement and development of spacecraft. The standards set might include industry, military and

Applicable documents carry-over from previous programs fosters requirement ambiguities, overlap, and more significantly, requirements creep from water-falling of applicable documents. Once standards sets are established for future development programs, they need to be organize

10、d in a central location, accessible to government and industry alike. Doing so will assist in information transmission, and aide in expediting the acquisition process.
