MIL-STD-2073-1 was removed from section 2.3 since it was associated with the 5.1.4 deletion. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Form This specificati

6、on covers a polyester resin in the form of a film clad on one or both sides with copper foil. 1.2 Application The product has been used typically as a base material for fabrication of flexible printed wiring for electronic circuit applications operating in the range -65 to +105 C (-85 to 221 F), but

7、 usage is not limited to such applications. 1.3 Classification Product covered by this specification is classified as follows: Type 1 - Copper clad on one face Type 2 - Copper clad on both faces 1.3.1 The type supplied shall be the type ordered. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS The issue of the following doc

8、uments in effect on the date of the purchase order forms a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Material Shall consist of a polyester film to which copper foil is bonded with a suitable adhesive. 3.1.1 Polyester Film Shall conform to AMS3612. 3.1.2 Co

14、pper Foil Shall be electrolytically deposited conforming to ASTM B 451. 3.2 Properties Product shall conform to the following requirements; tests shall be performed on the product supplied and in accordance with specified ASTM methods, insofar as practicable. Specimens shall be conditioned in accord

15、ance with ASTM D 618, Procedure A, prior to testing. Specimens for determination of dielectric strength (3.2.1), dielectric constant (3.2.2), dissipation factor (3.2.3) and surface resistance (3.2.4) shall have the copper removed in accordance with ASTM D 1825 prior to conditioning. Where requiremen

16、ts vary with thickness, use the value for the next lower thickness for thicknesses not specified. 24、 five measurements made at least 0.060 inch (1.52 mm) from any edge. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right

25、 to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests 4.2.1 Acceptance Tests Dielectric constant (3.2.2), dissipation factor (3.2.3), peel strength (3.2.5), and sizes and tolerances (3.4) are acc

26、eptance tests and shall be performed on each lot. 4.2.2 Periodic Tests Tests for dielectric strength (3.2.1) and surface resistance (3.2.4) are periodic tests and shall be performed at a frequency selected by the vendor unless frequency of testing is specified by purchaser. 4.2.3 Preproduction Tests

27、 Tests for all technical requirements are preproduction tests and shall be performed prior to or on the initial shipment of the product to a purchaser, when a change in ingredients and/or processing requires reapproval as in 4.4.2, and when purchaser deems confirmatory testing to be required. 4.3 Sa

28、mpling and Testing Sufficient product shall be taken at random from each lot to perform all required tests. The number of determinations for each requirement shall be as specified in the applicable test procedure or, if not specified therein, not less than three. 4.3.1 A lot shall be all product pro

29、duced in a single production run from the same batches of raw materials and presented for vendors inspection at tone time. A lot shall not exceed 1500 square feet (139 m2).4.3.2 When a statistical sampling plan has been agreed upon by purchaser and vendor, sampling shall be in accordance with such p

30、lan in lieu of sampling as in 4.3 and the report of 4.5 shall state that such plan was used. 4.4 Approval 4.4.1 Sample product shall be approved by purchaser before product for production use is supplied, unless such approval be waived by purchaser. Results of tests on production product shall be es

31、sentially equivalent to those on the approved sample. 4.4.2 Vendor shall use ingredients, manufacturing procedures, processes, and methods of inspection on production product which are essentially the same as those used on the approved sample product. If necessary to make any change in ingredients,

32、in type of equipment for processing, or in manufacturing procedures, vendor shall submit for reapproval a statement of the proposed changes in ingredients and/or processing and, when requested, sample product. Production made by the revised procedure shall not be shipped prior to receipt of reapprov

33、al. 34、onformance to the acceptance test requirements and, when performed, to the periodic test requirements, and stating that the product conforms to the other technical requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, lot number, AMS3613D, type number, manufacturers identification, form

35、 or part number, and quantity. 4.6 Resampling and Retesting If any specimen used in the above tests fails to meet the specified requirements, disposition of the product may be based on the results of testing three additional specimens for each original nonconforming specimen. Failure of any retest s

36、pecimen to meet the specified requirements shall be cause for rejection of the product represented. Results of all tests shall be reported. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Packaging and Identification 5.1.1 Packaging shall be accomplished to ensure that product, during shipment and storage, will not

37、 be permanently distorted and will be protected against damage from exposure to weather or any other normal hazard. 5.1.1.1 A lot may be packaged in small quantities and delivered under the basic lot approval provided lot identification is maintained. 5.1.2 Each package shall be permanently and legi

38、bly marked with not less than the following information: FILM, COPPER CLAD POLYESTER AMS3613DPURCHASE ORDER NUMBERMANUFACTURERS IDENTIFICATIONNORMAL THICKNESS OF COPPERNOMINAL THICKNESS OF FILM (excluding adhesive)TYPE (1 OR 2)5.1.2.1 Individual Sheets Individual sheets over 18 inches (457 mm) in on

39、e direction shall be identified individually by a label in one corner with the information of 5.1.2. 5.1.2.2 Coiled Sheet and Strip Shall be marked near the outside end of the coil. The inside end of the coil also shall be marked or shall have a tag or label attached and marked with the information

40、of 5.1.2, or the core shall have a label attached and marked with the information of 5.1.2. 5.1.3 Packages of product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportatio

41、n of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 6.
