5、d enable one to determine the exact size offilter for all applications. Determining factors that must be taken into consideration are:a. The amount of fresh air required to maintain operator enclosure pressurization.b. The quantity of conditioned air that will be recirculated and provisions to contr

6、ol the amount ofrecirculation.c. The air handling units (blowers) ability to produce an adequate amount of flow to overcome theresistance of the ductwork and filtration system.1. 7、losure panel type air filters on off-road, self-propelled work machines used inconstruction, general-purpose industrial, agriculture, and forestry as defined in SAE J1116 and equipped withan operator enclosure with a powered fresh air system.2. Definitions3.1 Operator Enclosure Air Filter ElementA medium in which particulate is removed from the incoming airsupply.3.2 EfficiencyThe ability of the air filter element to remove particulate. This will be expressed by Equation 1:(Eq. 1)4. Air Filter El

10、ement Performance TestThe test shroud configurations for the operator enclosure filtercomparison tests are outlined in 4.1.1 and Figure 1. This test procedure also designates a recommendedintake velocity for the dust mixing chamber Figure 1.4.1 Test Equipment and Instrumentation4.1.1 Air flow restri

11、ction and pressure drop test is to be conducted using a minimum of three points, 80%, 100%,and 120% of rated air flow (use element restriction test setup shown in Figure 2). Condition the unit to betested at least 30 min under temperature and humidity conditions equivalent to those in the test area.

12、To determine the resistance to air flow, particulate holding capacity, particulate removal efficiency, andsealing characteristics, use the equipment described in Figure 2. For element configurations other thanpanel type, reference SAE J726.4.1.2 Use a dust metering device (Figure 3) which when used

13、with the dust injector (Figure 4) is capable ofmetering dust over the range of delivery rates required. This dust feed system shall not change the primaryparticle size distribution of the particulate. The average delivery rate shall be within 5% of the desired rateand the deviation in the instantane

14、ous delivery rate from the average shall be no more than 5%.4.2 Test Conditions and Material4.2.1 STANDARD CONDITIONAll air flow measurements are to be corrected to a standard condition of 25 C at100kPa.4.2.2 TEST DUST1Shall be standardized and shall be of two grades labeled fine and coarse. 18、J1533 Issued JUN93-7-4.2.3 ABSOLUTE FILTER MATERIALS2The absolute filter shall consist of fiberglass media with a minimum thickness of 12.7 mm and a minimumdensity of 9.5 kg/m3. The fiber diameter shall be 0.76 to 1.27 m and the moisture absorption shall be lessthan 1% by weight after exposure of 50

19、 C and 95% relative humidity for 96 h. The filter shall be installedwith the nap side facing upstream in an air-tight holder that adequately supports the media. The face velocityshall not exceed 50 m/min to maintain media integrity.4.2.4 ABSOLUTE FILTER WEIGHTThe absolute filter shall be weighed to

20、the nearest 0.01 g after the weight hasstabilized and while in a ventilation oven at 105 C 5 C.NOTEIf stabilization cannot be determined, a minimum time of 4 h is required.4.2.5 TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITYAll tests shall be conducted with air entering the air filter at a temperature of24 C 8 C and a re

21、lative humidity of 50% 15%.NOTESince atmospheric conditions affect test results, when comparing performance of filters designed forthe same application, tests should be conducted within the narrowest range of temperature andhumidity possible.4.2.6 AIR VELOCITYThe velocity of the air entering the top

22、 of the dust mixing chamber shall be a minimum of6 m/s (Figure 1).5. Test Dust and ConcentrationIt is difficult, if not impossible, to select a test dust size distribution andconcentration which will be representative of all service conditions; therefore, based primarily on practicalconsiderations,

23、the concentration shall be 1 g/m3 for coarse and fine dusts (1 g/m3 is generally accepted aszero visibility conditions).6. 25、und and Optimum Performance GuidelinesOperator enclosure filters for off-road self-propelledmachinery are utilized to prevent dust and other airborne particulates from entering the operator enclosure(cab).The filter is usually placed upstream of the air circulation fan, air conditioner evaporator, a

26、nd heater core toprotect them as well as the operator from airborne particulates.Performance characteristics of the fresh air supply system have an enormous effect on the general comfortlevel of the operator. The optimum design will filter incoming air without sacrificing operator comfort.The most c

27、ommon configuration for operator enclosure filters is the flat panel type. 28、lter guideline has been established to cover dry type cab airfilters used on off-road, self-propelled work machines.The objective of this procedure is to provide a uniform means for evaluating the performancecharacteristics of enclosure air filters on bench test equipment. The data collected by this

29、 test procedurecan be used to establish standards of performance for enclosure air filters. Variations in actual fieldoperating conditions are difficult to duplicate; however, with the procedure and equipment set forth,comparisons of air filter effectiveness can be made.In the past, there have been

30、numerous configurations of test housings. All of these designs have hadone objective, to provide uniform dust loading throughout the entire area of the filter.The performance characteristics of greatest interest are air flow restriction or pressure drop, particulatecollection efficiency, and particu

31、late capacity. These test recommendations are defined under aircleaner test code SAE J726; however, the test shroud configurations defined in SAE J726 are notapplicable for operator enclosure filter comparison.Relationship of SAE Standard to ISO StandardThis document is technically equivalent to ISO
