13、on covers incandescent tungsten filament lamps of the following categories for use in motor vehicles and trailers: R2, H1, H2, H3, H4, P21W, P21/5W, R5W, R10W, C5W, C18W, C21W, T4W, W3W and W5W. 14、dt 3 NOTE The standards referred to in this part of the specification are listed in appendix A. 2 Definitions 2.1 For the purposes of this part of the specification the following definitions shall apply: acceptable acceptable to the authority administering this standard, or to the parties concluding

22、e rated voltage, and the colour of the bulb 3 Requirements 3.1 Bulbs A lamp bulb shall be clean and free from defects such as scores or spots detrimental to service of the lamp (see 6.1). 3.2 Caps 3.2.1 Dimensions When measured in accordance with 6.3, a lamp shall be found to have a cap complying wi

23、th the relevant lamp cap data sheet of IEC 60061-1, as specified on the relevant lamp data sheet (see 3.9). 3.2.2 Securing of caps A cap shall be firmly secured to a bulb. SANS 1376-1:2008 Edition 1.6 5 3.3 Aging When tested in accordance with 6.4, a lamp shall not become inoperative during the agin

24、g period. 3.4 Filament shape and position When determined in accordance with 6.3 (see also appendices B and C), the geometric shape and orientation of a filament shall approximate to that in the drawing(s) given on the relevant data sheet. A filament shown on the data sheet to be straight shall fit

25、into an imaginary straight coaxial cylinder with diameter D = (1,2d + 0,1f), where d is the filament diameter and f is the filament length. 3.5 Lamp dimensions External and internal lamp dimensions, when determined in accordance with 6.3, shall conform to those given in the drawing and the table on

26、the relevant lamp data sheet(s) (see 3.9). NOTE Some guidelines for the measurement of lamp dimensions are given in appendices B and C. 3.6 Colour A lamp bulb shall be uncoloured (white). Amdt 4 When determined in accordance with 6.5, the chromaticity coordinates shall be within the area bounded by

27、the lines connecting the points on the CIE chromaticity diagram, having the following (xy) coordinates: (0,310 0,348); (0,310 0,283); (0,443 0,382); (0,500 0,440) and (0,453 0,440). Amdt 4 If a yellow bulb is allowed on the lamp data sheet, the chromaticity coordinates shall be within the area given

28、 by (0,543 0,455); (0,524 0,443); (0,465 0,500) and (0,480 0,518). Amdt 4 Limits of finished filament lamps emitting red light shall be as follows: a) Limit towards yellow: y 0,335 b) Limit towards purple: y 0,980 Amdt 6 3.7 Initial power and initial luminous flux When measured in accordance with 6.

29、6, the initial power and the initial luminous flux of a lamp shall conform to the appropriate values given on the relevant data sheet. 3.8 Life When tested in accordance with 6.7, the average life of a sample of lamps shall be not less than the appropriate value given on the relevant data sheet. 3.9

30、 Data sheets The basic design, dimensions, and the electrical and photometric characteristics of a lamp shall be as given in figures 1-14 and tables 2-29, as appropriate. Lamps not covered by these figures and tables, shall comply with the appropriate lamp data sheets of annex I of SANS 20037. Amdt

31、3 SANS 1376-1:2008 Edition 1.6 6 4 Marking 4.1 Each lamp shall be legibly and durably marked with the following information: a) the manufacturers name or registered trade name or registered trademark or any combination of these; b) the lamp category; c) the rated voltage; and d) the rated power or,

32、in the case of a dual filament lamp, the rated power of each filament in the sequence: principal filament, secondary filament. 5 Sampling and compliance with part 1 of the specification NOTE This section applies to the sampling for inspection and testing before acceptance or rejection of single lots

33、 (consignments) in cases where no information about the implementation of quality control or testing during manufacture is available to help in assessing the quality of the lot. 5.1 Sampling The following sampling procedure shall be applied in determining whether a lot complies with the relevant req

34、uirements of this part of the specification. The sample so taken shall be deemed to represent the lot. 36、 to comply with the requirements of this part of the specification if, on inspection and testing of the sample taken in accordance with 5.1, a) the number of defectives found on inspection (see 6.1) does not exceed the relevant acceptance number given in column 3 of table 1, SANS 1376-1:2008 Edition

37、 1.6 7 b) the number of defectives found in respect of the remaining requirements (other than that for life) considered together, does not exceed the relevant acceptance number given in column 4 of table 1, and c) the average life of the sample tested is not less than 90 % of the value given on the

38、relevant data sheet. 5.3 Conformity of production Amdt 5 Tests undertaken to check for conformity of production shall be conducted in accordance with the conformity of production clause of SANS 20037. Amdt 5 6 Inspection and methods of test 6.1 Inspection Visually examine the lamp for compliance wit

39、h the requirements of 3.1, and the relevant requirements of 3.6 and section 4. 6.2 General conditions of testing 6.2.1 Supply voltage stabilization Unless otherwise specified, maintain the test voltage within 0,2 %. 6.2.2 Accuracy of measuring instruments Carry out measurements with instruments of a

40、n accuracy appropriate to the requirements. (At least class 0.2, i.e. 0,2 % of full-scale deflection.) 6.3 Measurement of dimensions Using acceptable measuring instruments, check the dimensions of the lamp for compliance with the requirements of 3.2.1, 3.4, and 3.5. (See also appendices B and C.) 6.

41、4 Aging test Age the lamp in a horizontal position for a period of 1 h at the appropriate test voltage given on the relevant data sheet. Age each filament of a dual filament lamp separately. In the case of dual filament lamps for headlights, age the dipped beam filament first, and in the case of oth

42、er dual filament lamps, age the main filament first. Check for compliance with the requirement of 3.3. 6.5 Colour test Use a spectrophotometer or other equally suitable colour-measuring device to determine the chromaticity co-ordinates of the light emitted by a lamp with a yellow bulb, and check for

43、 compliance with the requirements of 3.6. 6.6 Measurement of initial power and of initial luminous flux Operate the lamp in a horizontal position at the appropriate test voltage given on the relevant data sheet, until the lamp has stabilized. Measure by means of suitable instruments, the initial pow

44、er and the initial luminous flux of the lamp and check for compliance with the requirements of 3.7. SANS 1376-1:2008 Edition 1.6 8 6.7 Life test Mount 15 lamps in a horizontal position with a spacing of at least 50 mm between lamps. (If the sample size is less than 15, use all the lamps in the sampl

45、e.) Operate the lamps at the appropriate test voltage given on the relevant data sheet, using a supply voltage which is regulated within 1 %. (If an a.c. supply is used, it must have a frequency in the range 40-60 Hz.) Operate the lamps according to the relevant switching cycle given below: a) R2 an

46、d H4 lamps. Operate the filaments alternately. Operate the dipped beam filament continuously for 15 h and the main beam filament for 7,5 h in each 24 h period with 45 min “off“-periods between operations. b) P21/5W lamps. Test the filaments separately. In each case switch the lamps off for 15 min tw

47、ice in every 24 h period. Amdt 1 c) P21W lamps. Switch the lamps on and off at a frequency of 1,5 Hz (“on“-time = “off“-time) for a period of 15 s. Leave them off for a further period of 15 s and repeat. =4testofdurationtotallampeachoflifeThe Amdt 1 d) All other lamps. Switch the lamps off for 15 mi

48、n twice in every 24 h period. Terminate the test after 1,25 times the life given on the relevant data sheet.
