1、1 Scope1.1 This standard specifies the location andwidth dimensions of the exposed areas forpicture and photographic audio on 35-mmmotion-picture prints made on continuouscontact printers.1.2 This standard is applicable to the printingof motion-picture raw stock which is cut andperforated in accorda

2、nce with ANSI/SMPTE 139or SMPTE 237.1.3 This standard refers to the adjustment of theprinter, and is in accordance with ANSI/SMPTE40.2 DimensionsThe dimensions shall be as specified in the figuresand tables.3 Additional exposed areas for photo-graphic audioIt is recognized that some formats for phot

3、ographicaudio may require exposed areas in locations otherthan or in addition to those specified by dimensions Cand D in figure 1 and table 1. Exposed areas for theseformats are given in figure 2 and table 2.NOTES1 Dimension A minus B defines the width of the picture areaexposed in accord with this

4、standard, and dimension Dminus C that of the sound track area. Thus, an overlap arearanging from 0.000 in to 0.008 in (0.00 mm to 0.20 mm) willreceive exposure from both picture and sound printingapertures. In table 2, the dimensions given for a formatdefine the width of the sound track area exposed

5、 for thatformat.2 The centerline information (dimensions E and F) given intable 1 is provided as a convenient reference.
