This Telecommunications Systems Bulletin has been developed by Subcommittee TR-45.6, and contains information which may be useful to implementors of systems compliant with TSB-87, “Cel

32、lular Digital Packet Data System Specification,” or its derivatives. This document contains significant portions of material originally submitted by the Cellular Digital Packet Data Forum Inc. CDPD is a technology intended to provide packet data networking services to mobile hosts. The media used to

33、 provide these services consists of radio channels typically used for Advanced Mobile Phone System (AMPS) cellular service. Document Structure This Telecommunications Systems Bulletin is published as a series of Parts. Each Part contains information pertaining to one aspect of the system. The functi

Part 2000 to Part 2999-Guidelines for Manufacturers of CDPD equipment These Parts are informative and discuss such concerns as CDPD-specific entities (such as Mobile End Systems (M-E%), Mobile Data Base Stations (MDBSs) and Mobile Data Intermediate Systems (MD-ISS),

This Part assumes that the reader is familiar with CDPD in general, as presented in IS-732-100. This Part defines

40、 the specific requirements for Directory User Agents PUAS) and Directory System Agents SAS) to be used in the CDPD Network to perform Application Entity Title-to-Presentation Address translation. This Part enumerates the specific features of DUAs and DSAs that may be used for this particular applica

41、tion of Directory Services. General requirements for CDPD DUAs and DSAs are defined in Part 1013. This specification covers the directory function operating in the Application Layer, which maps application-titles onto presentation-addresses. This function is carried out by use of the Directory if th
