32、ll be published as addendum 9 to ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.1. TIA standards documents are developed within the Technical Committees of the TIA and the standards coordinating committees of the TIA standards board. Members of the committees serve voluntarily and without commission. The companies that they re

33、present are not necessarily members of the TIA. The standards developed within the TIA represent a consensus of the broad expertise on the subject. This expertise comes from within the TIA as well as those outside of the TIA that have an expressed interest. The viewpoint expressed at the time that t

36、ION This addendum provides updated specifications, and laboratory test procedures for category 6 balance requirements and measurements. 2 PURPOSE AND SCOPE The contents of this Standard supersede the category 6 balance guidelines in clause 7.6 and annex D of the TIA-568-B.2-1. 3 DEFINITIONS & ACRONY

37、MS 3.1 Definitions The generic definitions in this section have been formulated for use by the entire family of telecommunications infrastructure standards. As such, the definitions do not contain mandatory requirements of the Standard. Specific requirements are found in the normative sections of th

38、is Standard. transverse conversion transfer loss: A ratio, expressed in dB, of the measured common mode voltage on a pair relative to the differential mode voltage applied at the opposite end of the same pair, or on either end of another pair. equal level transverse conversion transfer loss: A calcu

39、lation, expressed in dB, of the difference between measured TCTL and the differential mode insertion loss of the disturbed pair. 3.2 Acronyms and abbreviations TCTL transverse conversion transfer loss ELTCTL equal level transverse conversion transfer loss 4 BALANCE Balance properties are related to

40、the emission and immunity characteristics of the cabling. Balance parameters are expressed in dB as the ratio of the signal measured at the device under test (DUT) output port relative to the signal entering the DUT input port. NOTE TCL and LCL parameters are reciprocal. LCL can be

42、 determined using a TCL measurement. 4.1.1 Cable TCL For all frequencies from 1 MHz to 250 MHz, category 6 cable TCL shall meet the values determined using equation (1). Calculations that result in TCL values greater than 40 dB shall revert to a requirement of 40 dB minimum. The values in table 1 ar
