23、y The purpose of this section is to define the characteristics of the system with respect to messaging and indications to the Mobile Station (MS) and to the calling party. 1.1 Tones Applied Toward the Mobile Station The following tones may be applied by the system toward the mobile station during no

24、rmal operation and in providing the features in this Standard. Call Waiting Tones The Call Waiting Tones shall be a tone of 440 Hz at -13 dBm0/frequency applied for 300 ms 50 ms injected into the voice path toward the called subscriber. Dial Tone Burst A dial tone burst is used when dial tone cannot

25、 be removed after the first digit is entered. A dial tone burst is a 2 s burst of dial tone. Dial Tone Dial tone is used to prompt for entry of digits and is removed after the first digit is entered. Dial tone is a continuous tone of 350 Hz plus 440 Hz at -13 dBm0/frequency. Alternatively dial tone

26、may be a single frequency tone between 400 and 450 Hz. Confirmation Tone Confirmation tone is a short audible tone sequence that may be inserted into an engaged or busy subscribers voice channel to announce the systems acceptance of a request. Confirmation tone is defined to be three bursts of dial

27、tone (0.1 s on, 0.1 s off). Denial Tone Burst Denial tone is a short audible tone sequence that may be inserted into an engaged or busy subscribers voice channel to announce the systems denial of a request. Denial tone is defined to be a single 2 s burst of low tone. Low tone is defined to be 480 Hz

28、 plus 620 Hz at -24 dBm0/frequency. Pip Tone Pip tone is a unique short audible tone sequence that may be inserted into an engaged or busy subscribers voice channel to announce the networks reception of a voice message that is available for subscriber retrieval. Pip tone is defined to be four bursts

29、 of high tone (0.1 s on, 0.1 s off). High tone is defined to be 480 Hz at -17 dBm0/frequency. The cadence of the audible alerting should be the same as that applied to the mobile station. Busy Tone Busy tone is defined to be 480 Hz plus 620 Hz at -24 dBm0/frequency a

34、lternating 0.5 s on and 0.5 s off. Reorder Tone Reorder tone is defined to be 480 Hz plus 620 Hz at -24 dBm0/frequency alternating 0.25 s on and 0.25 s off.
