、LEED AP Neighborhood Development Study Guide GETTING STARTED ON YOUR LEED AP ND CREDENTIAL Earning the LEED AP ND credential requires passing a two-part exam: PART 1: (Also see the Green Associate credential) A two-hour exam. Passing Part 1 attests to the candidates general knowledge of green buildi

、ng practices for both commercial and residential spaces and both new construction and existing buildings as well as how to support other professionals working on LEED projects. If you are a LEED AP without specialty or you have already earned the Green Associate credential, you need to take only Par

、t 2 of the LEED AP ND exam. (Go to the Green Building Certification Institute GBCI website, www.gbci.org, for details.) 1 PART 2: A two-hour exam. Passing Part 2 attests that the individual possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the design process, to support and encourage in

、tegrated design, and to streamline the application and certification process. 2The two parts of the exam are delivered together. You are given two hours to complete part 1, the LEED Green Associate section, and then two hours to complete part 2, the LEED AP ND specialty section. There is no break be

、tween the parts. You can take the two parts on separate days by first applying for, taking, and passing the LEED Green Associate exam and then applying for and taking the LEED AP specialty exam. Did you know? You may earn multiple LEED AP specialties using the same LEED AP with specialty application

、! Once you pass the LEED AP ND exam, simply log back into My Credentials and register for your next specialty exam. STEP 1: Read the GBCI LEED AP Neighborhood Development Candidate Handbook at www.gbci.org to determine whether you meet the eligibility requirements. STEP 2: Register for and schedule

、your exam. Tips: Register in the EXACT name that appears on your I.D. card, and keep your confirmation number. STEP 3: Access the appropriate reference documents. The LEED AP Neighborhood Development Candidate Handbook lists the references that are the sources for exam questions. Some references are
