21、ntial Overview Congratulations on your decision to pursue the LEED Accredited Professional (AP) Neighborhood Development (ND) credential. You are positioning yourself within the marketplace as a professional who is committed to keeping up with current trends and best practices in sustainable land de

As you prepare for the exam, you will be taking what you already know about LEED, land use planning and green building and developing greater proficiency in an area that is specific and relevant to your line of work. Accreditation will certify th

Best of luck on the exam! 2 USGBC

24、LEED AP Neighborhood Development Study Guide GETTING STARTED ON YOUR LEED AP ND CREDENTIAL Earning the LEED AP ND credential requires passing a two-part exam: PART 1: (Also see the Green Associate credential) A two-hour exam. Passing Part 1 attests to the candidates general knowledge of green buildi

25、ng practices for both commercial and residential spaces and both new construction and existing buildings as well as how to support other professionals working on LEED projects. If you are a LEED AP without specialty or you have already earned the Green Associate credential, you need to take only Par

26、t 2 of the LEED AP ND exam. (Go to the Green Building Certification Institute GBCI website, www.gbci.org, for details.) 1 PART 2: A two-hour exam. Passing Part 2 attests that the individual possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the design process, to support and encourage in

27、tegrated design, and to streamline the application and certification process. 2The two parts of the exam are delivered together. You are given two hours to complete part 1, the LEED Green Associate section, and then two hours to complete part 2, the LEED AP ND specialty section. There is no break be

28、tween the parts. You can take the two parts on separate days by first applying for, taking, and passing the LEED Green Associate exam and then applying for and taking the LEED AP specialty exam. Did you know? You may earn multiple LEED AP specialties using the same LEED AP with specialty application

29、! Once you pass the LEED AP ND exam, simply log back into My Credentials and register for your next specialty exam. STEP 1: Read the GBCI LEED AP Neighborhood Development Candidate Handbook at www.gbci.org to determine whether you meet the eligibility requirements. STEP 2: Register for and schedule

30、your exam. Tips: Register in the EXACT name that appears on your I.D. card, and keep your confirmation number. STEP 3: Access the appropriate reference documents. The LEED AP Neighborhood Development Candidate Handbook lists the references that are the sources for exam questions. Some references are

31、 available for free download at www.gbci.org, and others can be purchased at www.usgbc.org. Note that exam reference documents are subject to change as the GBCI exams evolve. Always check the candidate handbooks for the most up-to-date list of reference documents. 1 LEED AP Neighborhood Development

The questions assess your knowledge at three levels: Recall questions test your direct knowledge of concepts. This section may require you to defin

Application questions evaluate your knowledge of procedures and performance and may require you to demonstrate how things work, perform calculations following a formula, place

Questions follow consistent formats: You will likely never

Most organizations and abbreviations are spelled out, so you do not need to memorize all the abbreviations you learn. However, common abbreviations (for example, LEED, ASH

You will see some questions with multiple correct answers (for example, a question prompting you to “select two” responses).
