18、and regulations unless aspecific exemption has been obtained.3 REQUIREMENTS3.1 D e v e l o p m e n t a n d p r e p a r a t i o n . The general manner of development and preparation for manuals andchecklists shall be in accordance with MIL - STD - 38784 and MIL - PRF - 5096.3.1.1 F o r m a t . Format
19、 shall be in accordance with the requirements of MIL - STD - 38784. Unless otherwisespecified by the acquiring activity , chapters and sections shall be arranged as identified herein ( 6.2 ).3.1.2 T e x t c o n t e n t s . The manuals shall contain all essential information and instructions for load
20、ing, securingloads, and of f - loading car go aircraft. T ypical loads will consist of vehicles, weapons, heavy equipment,bombs, warheads, missiles, aircraft, troops, litters, containers, airdrop modular platforms, and general car go,palletized and unpalletized. The manuals shall contain only handli
21、ng procedures and associated informationused when the aircraft is on the ground. Inflight procedures shall not be included in the manuals.3.1.3 I l l u s t r a t i o n s a n d t a b l e s . In addition to those specified herein, illustrations (including charts, diagrams,etc.) and tables which distin
22、ctly contribute to the clarity and understanding of instructions and proceduresshall be used. Illustrations and tables for each chapter shall be placed at the end of the chapter followingthe text. Illustrations shall be grouped together followed by the tables.3.2 L o a d i n g I n s t r u c t i o n

This chapter presents aircraft preparation instructions withrespect to aircraft car go loading, airdrop provisions and personnel equipment.”c. “Chapter 4 General Procedures. This chapter contains instructions relative to load preplanning,loadin
31、g, postloading, and of f - loading procedures to include checklist.”d. “Chapter 5 Emer gency Procedures. This chapter describes all ground preparations requiredfor car go emer gency procedures.”e. “Chapter 6 Specific Procedures. This chapter contains all necessary instructions relative topreloading,

A general description of the aircraft and of the aircraft car go, troopcarrying, litter carrying, and airdrop capabilities shall be included. A brief description of safety beltsand h
35、arnesses shall also be included.3.2.3.2 A i r c r a f t c a r g o a r e a . A general description of the aircraft car go area shall be provided, including, butnot limited to, the following:a. Car go compartment. Envelope profile and cross sectional drawings, showing all dimensions ininches and compa
36、rtment identification by letter , shall be provided. Critical dimensions which limitfull use of the car go compartment shall also be provided. Coverage shall include informationpertaining to location of electrical outlets and type of electrical power supplied in the car gocompartment as well as brie
37、f coverage of communication systems and lighting equipment whichmay be used during car go loading and of f - loading. Information on the location, type, anddimensions of each car go compartment overboard vent shall be provided.b. Car go area floors. A description shall be given of the main car go fl
38、oors, treadways (whenrequired), and maneuvering areas. Plan views of the car go floor , showing locations of tiedownfittings, roller conveyors, and restraint/guide rails shall also be included.c. Car go loading ramps. Where applicable, description of all parts of the aircraft ramp system(basic ramps
39、, ramp extensions and ramp toes) shall be provided. This shall include the relativeangles between system components and between the system, the ground and the car go floor .Plan views of the ramp system, showing the location of tiedown fittings, roller conveyors, andrestraint/guide rails and locks s
40、hall also be included.d. Personnel and troop provisions and access areas. Personnel and troop entrance and exit doorsshall be identified and described with any pertinent features included. A plan view of troopseating arrangement and litter provisions shall be included. A general description of comfo
