Principles of Design5.1 The design of the connector shall be such that positiveseal is accomplished at two locations: (1) between the elasto-meric seal and the wall of the insitu pipe, manhole orwastewater structure and (2) between the elastomeric seal andthe pipe hub. The watertight seal bet

Basis of Acceptance6.1 Laboratory Testing:6.1.1 For each connector diameter, type and configuration atleast one connector shall be laboratory tested per

34、 year inaccordance with the procedures in Section 7. Tests shall beconducted on each combination of size, connector, pipematerial, and pipe/structure.6.1.2 The acceptability of the resilient connector shall bedetermined by the results of the physical tests prescribed in thisspecification, if and whe

The certification shall consistof third party test report, acco

36、mpanied by a copy of the testresults, that the connector has been tested and inspected inaccordance with the provisions of Section 4 and Section 7.Each certification so furnished shall be signed by the connectormanufacturer or an authorized agent.6.1.4 Certification shall be deemed current, if it re

The load shall result in a minimumbending moment of 100 ftlbf (136 Nm). The procedure may bemodifie

It is not intended tovalidate the structural capacity of

Only theconnector needs to be evaluated, the incoming lateral pipe,

40、which adjoins the connector, or the insitu pipe does not need toconstitute part of this test.NOTE 5When field pressure testing joint connections, extreme careneeds to be taken to insure all bulkheads and plugs are properly securedand braced to prevent movement. This standard does not address all the

41、field related procedures necessary to conduct a safe test.6.3.2 In lieu of the requirements in section 6.3.1, if the pipeused in the insitu pipeline is within the scope of SpecificationF2487, it is permitted to evaluate the performance and accep-tance of the connector as part of the infiltration and

42、 exfiltrationtest of the pipeline in accordance with the requirements ofSpecification F2487. The performance of the pipeline shall, asa minimum, be 200 gal/in/day (18.5 L/mm of internal diam-eter) or the project requirements, whichever is more severe orhas the higher requirement.NOTE 6Field performa

43、nce depends greatly on the accuracy of the fieldcored hole in the host pipe, and the relative condition of the host pipe withregards to its overall deformation and deflection.7. Test Methods and Requirements7.1 Install a pipe(s) and the connector(s) to be tested in thebase section of a pipe, manhole

There shall be no agreement to lower theminimum requirement of the specification by such means asomitting tests that are a part of the specification, substituting ormodifying a test method, or by changing the specificationlimits. In retesting, the product requirements of this specifica-tion shall be met, and the test methods designated in thisspecification shall be followed. If, upon retest, failure occurs, the q
