2、MIL-S-43818. 1. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 1.1 Design and construction. The bun slicing machine shall consist of a feeding chute tilted at a 25 to 35 degree vertical angle with the machine base and a circular cutting blade rotated by an electric motor. The motor shall be at least 1/4 horsepower and sh

3、all Se controlled by an on-off switch provided with a safety guard cover located on the body of the bun slicing machine accessible to the operator. The feeding chute shall have adjustments for bun width and height, and thickness and depth of cut. The feeding chute interior width shall be infinitely

4、adjustable from a lower limit of no more than 1-1/4 inches to an upper limit of no less than 5 inches. The feeding chute interior height shall be infinitely adjustable from a lower limit of no more than 1-3/4 inches to an upper limit of no less than 2-3/4 inches. The cutting blade height shall be in

5、finitely adjustable from a lower limit of no more than 1/2 inch above the base of the chute to an upper limit of no less than 15/16 inch above the base of the chute. The bun slicing machine shall be a counter model with 4 non-skid feet, and shall have envelope dimensions no greater than 36 inches wi

6、de, 15 inches deep, and 25 inches high. No tools or excessive force shall be required to make adjustments on the bun slicing machine, and during adjustment there shall be no binding or jamming of moving parts. The bun slicing machine shall be capable of slicing both soft and hard buns and rolls with

7、out jamming or stalling, and without tearing or crushing the buns or rolls. When the machine is switched on, the cutting blade shall rotate such that, within the chute, the cutting edge travels away frcm the bun inlet. The cutting teeth or serrations, as applicable, shall have their cutting edge fac

9、475 5 W 1.2 Electrical characteristics. The bun slicing machine shall be designed for operation on a nominal 120 volt, 60 hertz, i phase alternating current. 1.3 Standards compliance. The bun slicing machine shall comply with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) Standard No. 763 and Baking Industry

10、Sanitation Standards Committe (BISCC) Standard No. 13. 1.4 Data name plate (Government unique requirement (see 4.4). The bun slicing machine shall be furnished with a data name plate in accordance with the applicable requirements of MIL-STD-130 except the requirements for: Methods of applying, (b) I

The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salieiit characteristics and requirements of the description and except for those government unique requirements Specified, conform

15、s to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, aiid is the same as the product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The contractor shall certify the product meets the “Government unique“ requirements except when specific quality assurance prov

16、icions are specified for the Government unique requirements. In this case, the contractor shall provide data resulting from inspection conducted in accordance with the specified quality assurance. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and ther
