1、 e“ r COMMERCIAL ITEM DESRIPTION APRON, LABORATORY, PLASTIC The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to Military Specification MIL-A-41801. 1, CLASSIFICATION 1.1 Classification. This commercial item description covers aprons of th

2、e following types: Type I - Plain Type II - With pocket and trough 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Design and construction, type I. The apron shall have a bib and tie tapes, approximately 22 inches long by one inch wide. The apron shall be approximately 45 inches long by 29 inches wide. The straight

3、area shall be approximately 35 inches long and shall be so cut that the neckline is approximately 10 inches wide. The apron and tie tapes shall be constructed of clear, colorless, poly- vinyl chloride plastic film with a minimum 0.008 inch thickness. perimeter of the apron shall have a 1/2 + 1/16 in

4、ch wide heat sealed hem. The tie tapes shall be heat sealed to the apron at the beginning of the bib and shall be reinforced to the apron with an extra strip of vinyl. 5、II. The type II apron shall have all the characteristics of the type I apron and shall have an additional pocket and trough. The pocket shall be located in the center of the bib area and the trough shall be located at the bottom hem. The top of the pocket shall be approximately 3 inches down from th

10、fter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. The 4. PACKAGING 4.1 Packaging. Each apron shall be folded in half across the length and then folded in half across the width. The folded apron shall measure approximately 23 by 15 inches. in a bundle and securely tied with
