This standard establishes designrequirements for wiring combat and tactical vehicles. Althou

40、gh many of therequirements are written as mandatory and must be considered as such, thereis also considerable material which is intended to denote optional,preferential, or guidance-type requirements. In interpreting the materialcontained herein, it is intended that the philosophy of the entire docu

41、mentbe considered for the wiring of each new type of vehicle. This philosophy issafety of the personnel, safety of the vehicle, satisfactory performance andreliability of the vehicle, and ease of maintenance, all at the least cost tothe Government. Deviations from this standard desired by the contractor(substitution of equipment, material, or installation) shall be specificallybrought to the attention of the procuring ac

48、tivity by letter concurrent withor prior to forwarding the design data for approval. All requests fordeviations shall include sufficient engineering information to substantiatethe deviations.4.2 Conflicting requirements. In case of discrepancies between thisstandard and the type or detail specif ica
