8、 placed on heavy vehiclesused by NATC armed forces in Continental Western Europe shall conform to NATO -STANAG 2153, and shall be applied upon receipt by the using service.4.2-2 nf Unless otherwise specified inmilitary procurementdocuments, the National Symbol, a white (black for Ar!rrYvehicles) 5-p
9、ointed star (see 5.2 and figure 1) shall be applied on allvehicles destined fm direct delivery to U.S. Military or National Guardunits and test sites. The symbol shall not be applied on vehicles htendedfor foreign military sales, Grant-Aid shipments or vehirles destined for U.S.Army Depots. The symb
10、ol shall not be applied on ambulances or other medicalservice vehicles affected by InternationalAgreement concerning suchvehicles.4-2.3 Ambuhmeadsines. 11、ng permitted without license from IHS-,-,-MIL-STW6426!4.2.4 .- New vehicle production fuel tankers(bulkhaul and fuel servicing) shall have a means by which required safetysigns in CJINUSwill contain the followingmarkings, which can be securelyfastened to each side and rear of the vehicle:a. “F?AIMAB
12、LE” in 6-inch block letters, one inch border all around.b. “NOSMOKING WITHIN 50 FEET” in 3-inch block letters, one inchborder all around-4-3 fkl. Vehicles requiring concealed markings shallhave those marks applied on a concealedbut accessible interior surfaceand shall be-readily v-bible, such as, on
13、 the inside of the map compartmentlid. Army concealed markings shall be on any appropriate area which isvisible from outside a locked and securedvehicle, or if the vehicle is notso configured, on a readily accessible concealed exterior surface, such as,on the inside of a tool box lid. Concealedmarki
14、ngs shall be applied usingstenciled decal or letters and numerals as large as practicable, but not lessthan 1/2 inch in height. When painting or application with tape isimpractical, markings shall be stamped on a 1 inch by 3 inch nonferrous metalplate and affixed in the above prescribed locations.4.
15、4 y to .,Vehicles supplied to foreign nations under Military AssistancePrograms (MAP) shall have temporary registrationnumbers placed on metal orwood tags, painted yellow, and attached in readily visible areas of thevehicle. Such markings shall remain affixed to the vehicle until arrival at foreign

Vehicles shall be marked with the militaryidentificationand registration number, and other special markings asspecifiedherein-5.1.1 max obstructions or configurationof thevehicle interferes ith legibility. 19、20. Markings shall be uniformly applied using numeralsand letters 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 inches in height (Army, 4 inches maximum). Theuse of the largest size practicable in the available space will be thedeterminingfactor in choosing letter and numeral size. On vehicles paintedlusterlesscamouflage colors,
20、 registration numbers (characters)shall begothic, no larger than 4 inches high. Where space permits, markinge shallhave a single space between individual letters and numerals, and letter andnumeral groupe shall be separated by 2 spaces, minimum. Except as otherwisespecifiedherein, markings shall be
21、.xppliedusing stenciled or decal lettersand rnmbers.L5.1.3 . . Markings of iactical and combat vehiclescovered by this standard shall be applied with the use of marking paint(see 5.1.3-1) or adhesive backed markers (see 5.1.3.2). Marking paint shallbe used for applications on fabrics such as canvas
22、or other extremely roughsurfaces.5.1.3.1 . Marking paint shall conform to MIL-C-46168,tlXL-C-53039,TT-E-529, Class 1 or A-A1558, Class 1 ae required to providethe specified finish.5.1.3.2 ve Marking materials shall conform toTyl= 11, Class 1 of MIL-M-43719 for nonreflectivemarkers. Reflectivemarkers
23、 shall be of material conforming to Federal Swcification L-S-300,TY,peI or 11, Class 3, reflectivity 1.
