Sampling4.1 When specified by the purchase agreement, samples of gypsum panel products shall be taken at the place of manufactureor at the destination. If the samples are taken at the d

7、estination, such samples shall be taken within 24 h of the receipt of thematerial.4.2 At least 0.25 % of the number of gypsum panel products in a shipment, but not less than three gypsum panel products, shallbe so selected as to be representative of the shipment and shall constitute a sample for the

8、 purpose of tests by the purchaser or user.5. Inspection5.1 Inspection of the gypsum panel products shall be agreed upon between the purchaser and the producer or supplier as partof the purchase agreement.6. Rejection6.1 Rejection of gypsum panel products that fails to conform to the requirements of

9、 the specification shall be reported to theproducer or supplier promptly and in writing. The notice of rejection shall contain a statement documenting how the gypsum panelproducts hashave failed to conform to the requirements of the specification.1 This specification is under the jurisdiction of AST

15、rt shall be furnished at the time of shipmentcertifying that the product is in compliance with the ASTM specification referencing this specification.8. Packaging and Marking8.1 Each gypsum panel product or package shall have legibly marked thereon the following: the thickness, the name of theproduce

16、r or supplier, the brand name, if any, and the ASTM specification for the product.8.2 In addition to the marking described in 8.1, gypsum board manufactured to Specification C1396/C1396M shall be markedas described in Annex A1.8.3 Single, unbound panels of gypsum board manufactured to Specification

17、C1396/C1396M that are packaged in multi-panelunits shall be permitted to be marked as a palletized packaging unit. These units are typically packaged to meet specific contractualrequirements and as such the marking requirements of 8.1 and 8.2 are not applicable.9. Shipping, Handling, and Storage9.1

18、Gypsum panel products shall be shipped so as to be kept dry.9.2 Gypsum panel products shall be stored so as to be kept dry, preferably inside a building. Gypsum panel products shall beneatly stacked flat with care taken to prevent sagging or damage to edges, ends, and surfaces.9.3 Where necessary to

19、 store gypsum panel products outside, it shall be stacked flat, off the ground, supported on a levelplatform, and fully protected from weather and direct sunlight exposure.C1264 14a210. Marking RequirementsA1.1 Each individual sheet of gypsum board manufactured to Specification C1396/C1396M shall have the following informationlegibly printed on the back surface:A1.1.1 The name of the manufacturing company or a unique alpha code of not less than thre

21、e letters identifying the manufacturerof the gypsum board.A1.1.2 A unique alpha or numeric code identifying the manufacturing facility and the production line.A1.1.3 A code identifying the date and time of manufacture.A1.1.4 The three-letter alpha code as designated in ISO 3166-1 identifying the cou

22、ntry of manufacture.A1.2 The printed information described in A1.1 shall be:A1.2.1 One or more lines oriented in the machine direction, parallel to one edge of the sheet.A1.2.2 Reproduced in its entirety at an interval of not more than 6 ft (1800 mm) on center.A1.2.3 Placed not less than 1 in.
