Classification4.1 This specification covers three classes of toluene diiso-cyanates, based on isome
8、r ratio as described in Table 1.4.2 Each class is subdivided into three types on the basis ofacidity and hydrolyzable chloride differences as follows:4.2.1 Type I or AAcidity shall be less than 0.0045expressed as percent HCl. Hydrolyzable chloride shall be lessthan 0.01 %.4.2.2 Type II or BAcidity s
9、hall be between 0.0070 and0.012 expressed as percent HCl. Hydrolyzable chloride shall beless than 0.015 %.4.2.3 Type III or CAcidity shall be greater than 0.012expressed as percent HCl. Hydrolyzable chloride limits are setat the convenience of the supplier and purchaser.4.2.4 Toluene diisocyanate th
10、at has an acidity value thatfalls between Type I (Type A) and Type II (Type B)isnotcurrently included in this specification.5.
