3、estermaterials based on ISO test methods.1. Scope*1.1 This specification covers thermoplastic polyester mate-rials suitable for molding or extrusion.1.2 This specification allows for the use of recycled ther-moplastic polyester materials provided that the requirements asstated in this specification
4、are met. The proportions of recycledmaterial used, as well as the nature and amount of anycontaminant, however, cannot be covered practically in thisspecification.1.3 The properties included in this specification are thoserequired to identify the compositions covered. There may beother requirements

These may bespecified by using the suffixes as given in Section 5.1.4 This classification system and subsequent line callout(specification) are intended to provide a means of calling outplastic materials used in
6、 the fabrication of end items or parts. It is not intended for the selection of materials. Materialselection should be made by those having expertise in theplastic field after careful consideration of the design andperformance required of the part, the environment to which itwill be exposed, the fabr

Terminology3.1 DefinitionsThe terminology used in this specificationis in accordance with Terminologies D 883 and D 1600.4. Classification4.1 Thermoplastic polyester materials are
20、 classified intogroups according to their composition. These groups aresubdivided into classes and grades, as indicated in the basicproperty table (Table TPES).NOTE 2An example of this classification system is as follows. 22、iples of five, that indicate the nominal quantity in percent by weight. Thus,a letter designation G for glass reinforced and 35 for percent orreinforcement, G35, specifies a material with a nominal glasslevel of 35 %. The types and percentages of reinforcements and fillers shouldbe shown on the suppliers technical data sheet u

If necessary, additional callout of these reinforcements andadditives can be accomplished by use of the suffix part of the system (seeSection 5).NOTE 5Materials containing reinforcements or fillers, or both, atnominal levels not in multiples of five are included
27、in the nearest TPESdesignation. For example, a material with a nominal glass content of 28 %is included with Grade G30.NOTE 6The ash content of filled or reinforced materials may bedetermined using ISO 3451-2:1984.4.2 Variations of thermoplastic polyester materials that arenot included in Table TPES
28、 are classified in accordance withTable TPES and Table A or B. Table TPES is used to specifythe group of thermoplastic polyester, and Table A or B is usedto specify property requirements.4.2.1 Specific requirements for variations of thermoplasticpolyester materials shall be indicated by a six-charac
