These datawere based on original research conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture2in the 1930s. Thisstandard
3、 takes into consideration Infants growth patterns reflected in the 1980 charts for the NationalCenter for Health Statistics and the 1977 Anthropometric Study of U.S. Infants and Childrenconducted by the University of Michigan and 2000 CDC Growth Charts for the United States.3Allsudden shifts of prop
4、ortion have been eliminated so as to reflect the gradual growth and developmentof the infant. To verify the proposed body measurements, a limited sampling of Infant was measuredand fitted with garments made as directed in these tables.1. Scope1.1 These tables list body measurements of girls sizes.Al
5、though these are body measurements, they can be used as abaseline in designing apparel for girls in this size range whenconsidering such factors as fabric type, ease for body move-ment, styling, and fit.1.2 The maximum age for the Girls chart is 1212 years oldto the size 20.1.3 The size table includ
6、es the range of toddler sizes, thesevalues are for both girls therefore, each system must be used independently of the other,without combining values in any way.1.6 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
