16、 Presentation layer protocol specification The presentation layer shall be as specified in clause 6 of ANSI T1.208. 7.3.7 Application layer protocol specification The application layer shall be as specified in clause 7 of T1.208. 19、d Line DCCs will use the seven-layer, OSI protocol stack that is specified in this standard and includes the Connectionless-Mode Network Protocol (CLNP) that is specified in ISO 8473. For the purpose of this standard, the communications on the DCN between the OS and entry point(s) to the SMN shall u

20、se an OSI protocol stack that is specified in ANSI T1.204 and ANSI T1.208, and may include protocols such as the X.25 Connection-Mode Network Protocol (CONP) specified in ISO 8208, or the 802.3 LAN protocol specified in ISO 8802-3, or both. The OSI architecture describes the view that interworking b

21、etween subnetworks, such as the SMN and an X.25 DCN, should take place within the Network Layer, with the Transport and higher Layers operating strictly on a peer-to-peer basis between end systems (LTE/STE and OS). ISO 7498 specifies that the Network Layer will provide the transparent data transfer

22、between transport-entities, i.e., end systems, that is independent of the characteristics, other than quality of service, of different subnetworks. This is identified as the routing and relaying function in the Network Layer. ISO 8648, specifies the OSI principles of interworking within sublayers of

23、 the Network Layer. 7.4.1 Interworking between the SMN and DCN Because approved ISO and/or ITU-T standards are not yet available, interworking between the SMNs, CLNP, and DCNs CONP OSI protocol stacks is a network providers responsibility. For interworking between SMNs, CLNP OSI-based Network Layer

24、Relay (NLR) shall be used. The principles of network layer interworking are described in ISO 8648. 7.4.2 Interworking between the Section and Line DCC Because the Section and Line DCCs will utilize the same seven-layer OSI protocol stack specified in this standard, interworking between the Section a
