It was the culmination of a monumental task: assembling and reducing into a concise for

28、m thetechnology and history of friction welding.It was recognized at that time that a second document, a specification, would be required. A task force from within theAWS C6 Committee was formed to prepare a specification for approval.The purpose of this specification is to help ensure that the weld

29、s resulting from the use of the process meet the servicerequirements for which they are intended.This document clearly and accurately describes the essential technical requirements for a friction weld. It specifies thequalification of procedures, methods, and equipment necessary to meet its technica
