It supersedes BS 6200-3.0:1991, which is withdrawn. BS 6200 is a multipart British Standard covering all as

7、pects of the sampling and analysis of ferrous materials and consists of the following parts: Part 1: Introduction and contents; Part 2: Sampling and sample preparation; Part 3: Reference methods of analysis; Part 4: Recommendations for the order of listing elements in the chemical analysis of steel;

8、 Part 5: Guidelines on statistical procedures; Part 6: Guidelines on atomic absorption techniques; Part 7: Routine methods of analysis. 1) A general introduction to BS 6200 is given in Part 1, which lists the contents of all the existing parts, sections and subsections. Part 3 consists of a summary

9、of the available referee methods of analysis. It is divided into separate sections for each element being determined and each section is further divided into subsections for different techniques and/or different ranges of application. Section 3.0 summarizes briefly the scope and origin of all the su

10、bsections currently available. This new edition has been prepared to bring Section 3.0 up to date. This publication does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. 13、e chemical analysis of iron, steel and other ferrous metals The methods currently available as British Standards are listed in Table 1 in alphabetical order of the element being determined. Multi-element methods are presented at the end of the table after the alphabetical listing for individual elem

14、ents. Attention is drawn to the fact that further information relating to the range or field of application can be found in the scope clause of individual standards. A list of the European standards with corresponding British Standards is presented in Annex A. International standards which have been
