34、nginformationonleachingofgranular wastesandsludgesundertheexperimentalconditionsspecifiedhereafter,andparticularlyaliquidtosolidratio of2l/kgdrymatter.Itappliestowastewhichhasaparticlesizebelow4mmwithoutorwithsizereduction(as specifiedin4.3.2) ThisEuropeanStandardhasbeendevelopedtoinvestigatemainlyi

35、norganicconstituentsfromwastes.Itdoesnot takeintoaccounttheparticularcharacteristicsofnonpolarorganicconstituentsnortheconsequencesof microbiologicalprocessesinorganicdegradablewastes. ThetestprocedurespecifiedinthisEuropeanStandardproducesaneluatewhichshallsubsequentlybe characterisedphysicallyandc

36、hemicallyaccordingtoappropriatestandardmethods. Thisprocedureisonlyapplicabletowastematerialandsludgeshavingahighsolidcontent:thedrymattercontent ratioshallbeatleasthigherthan33%.Inaddition,thenecessaryquantityofeluateshallbeobtainedtoperformthe physicalandchemicalcharacterisationoftheeluate.Further
