36、ewheelflangewhichfallsontheflangeradiusandwhichthereforeexceedstheangleforsafeguidance.The switchandcrossingSuppliershallensurethatguidancecontactdoesnottakeplacewithinthiszoneforbothnew andwornwheels,exceptwhereitisagreedthatflangerunningisanormaloperatingregime. ThedangerzoneisillustratedinFigure1

37、 3.7.3Flangeway depth Thedepthoftheflangewayshallbesufficienttopreventflangesfromrunningontheflooroftheflangewayexceptif otherwiserequiredbytheCustomer.Thisshallbeverifiedconsideringtheincreaseddepthofflangeofamaximum wornwheelandwiththeshallowflangewayofamaximumwornrunningsurfaceofarail. 4 Guidanc
