6、g wires”, published by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC). It was derived by that organization from IEC Publication182-2 edition2(1987) which has the same title as the European Standard. The CENELEC Common Modifications, which are quoted on page2, have been impleme
7、nted at the appropriate places in the text of IEC Publication182-2 edition2(1987) and are indicated by a single vertical line in the margin. The foreword and preface of IEC Publication182-2 edition2(1987) have been quoted in National appendix NA. Appendices designated “normative” are part of the bod
8、y of the standard. Appendices designated “informative” are given for information only. Nationalappendices are designated “informative”. This British Standard supersedes BS6811-1.2:1987, which is withdrawn. It should be noted that IEC Publications182-2 and182-1 Part1 “Diameters of conductors for roun

19、ut whether or not IEC182-2:1987 could be accepted without textual changes, has shown that no common modifications were necessary for the acceptance as European Standard. The reference document was submitted to the CENELEC member for formal vote. The text was approved by CENELEC as EN60182-2 on11Sept
20、ember1989. At that date, the CENELEC61st Technical Board decided to submit a British proposal for an amendment to EN60182-2 to the Unique Acceptance Procedure. This procedure started in October1989. The text of this draft, completed with some editorial changes to be made to the text of IEC182-2, was
21、 approved by CENELEC on11June1990 and is incorporated in EN60182-2 as common modifications to IEC182-2. The following dates were fixed: Annexes designated “normative” are part of the body of the standard. In this standard, Annex ZA and Annex ZB are normative. In the consolidated text of the EN, the
22、common modifications are indicated by a sideline in the margin. For products which have complied with the relevant national standard before1991-06-01, as shown by the manufacturer or by a certification body, this previous standard may continue to apply for production until1996-06-01. NOTEThis standard should serve as a basis for the preparation of specification sheets for different types of wire ir

If for technical reasons certain types of insulation in this standard cannot be followed, these reasons should be explicitly stated in the specification sheet. 2 Requirements 2.1 Maximum overall diameter The maximum overall diameters shall not exceed the values
