23、efinitions apply: 3.1 short wave infra-red emitter an emitter which radiates mainly in the short wave infra-red, i.e.having a maximum emission at the wavelength equal to or less than24m and for which light production is not of direct interest 3.2 bulb reflector infra-red lamp an infra-red emitter co
24、mprising a tungsten filament enclosed in a hermetically sealed bulb containing an inert gas and in which part of the bulb is shaped and metallized so as to direct radiation 3.3 short wave tubular infra-red emitter an infra-red emitter for operation at high temperature comprising a linear filament en
25、closed in a hermetically sealed infra-red transmitting tube which may contain an inert or predominantly inert gas with the linear tungsten filament held parallel to the axis of the tube 3.4 rated wattage the wattage marked on the emitter 3.5 rated voltage the voltage for which the emitter is designe
26、d 3.6 rated voltage range the interval between the highest and lowest voltages specified and indicated on the emitter by the manufacturer 3.7 design voltage the voltage at which the objective characteristics are obtained NOTE 1If there is only one rated voltage, the design voltage is the rated volta

30、fra-red): IR1 for low-temperature service; IR2 for high-temperature service; IR3 for very high-temperature service (see note2 to the Table in5.1). 34、:1994 6 BSI 11-1999 5.2 Tubular emitters 5.2.1 With metal strip connection Emitters can incorporate an integral reflector. 1)L 1is the filament heated length. 2)Dimension L 3is given for guidance to the oven manufacturer in order to set the locating pins at the correct distance. The requirement for
35、emitters is that they can be mounted on pins fixed at a nominal dimension L 3 . The holders should be floating over1mm minimum to allow for the difference in expansion between the emitter and the material of the oven structure. 3)Maximum diameter of holder pins is4,5mm. The operating position should
