19、 Climatic tests Test 11i: Dry heat 1 General 1.1 Scope and object This part of IEC 60512, when required by the detail specification, is used for testing electromechanical components within the scope of IEC technical committee 48. This test may also be used for similar devices when specified in a det

20、ail specification. The object of this test is to define a standard test method to assess the ability of components to be stored and/or to function in a specified manner under specified conditions of dry heat. 1.2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the appli

When required by the detail specification, the specimen shall be mate

25、d and unmated as many times as specified prior to testing. For each test carried out, the detail specification shall specify the condition of the component, for example mated or unmated. 2.2 Wiring of specimen Specimens shall be wired as specified in the detail specification. 2.3 Preconditioning Pre

26、conditioning shall be of at least 1 h, unless otherwise specified in the detail specification. 3 Test method 3.1 Conditioning This test shall be carried out in accordance with IEC 60068-2-2, Test Ba: Dry heat for non-heat-dissipating specimens with sudden change of temperature when no measurement is

27、 required during the test; Test Bb: Dry heat for non-heat-dissipating specimens with gradual change of temperature when measurements are required during the test; using the degree of severity specified in the detail specification. 3.2 Initial measurements Initial measurements shall be carried out as

28、 specified by the detail specification. 3.3 Measurements during the test When required by the detail specification, the measurements shall be carried out at the end of the test, while the specimen is still at the specified high temperature. 3.4 Final measurements The specimens shall be subjected to

29、the following tests, unless otherwise specified in the detail specification and shall meet the requirements specified in the detail specification. 31、4 Details to be specified When this test is required by the detail specification, the following details shall be specified: a) method of mounting and wiring the specimen; b) conditioning severity: temperature and number of days; c) initial measurements; d) requirements for the measurements; e) measu

32、rements during the test, if necessary; f) any deviation from the standard test method.
