The CGSB has been accredited by the Standards Council of Canada as a national standards-writing oirganization. The standards that it develops

6、and offers as National Standards of Canada conform to the criteria and proceduires established for this purpose by the Standards Council of Canada. In addition to standards it publishes as tional standards, the CGSB produces standards to meet particular needs, in response to requests from a variety

7、of sources in both the public and private sectors. Both CCSB standards and national standards developed by the CCSB are developed in conformance with the policies described in the Policy Manual for the Development and Maintenance of Standards by CGSB. CCSB standards are subject to review and revisio

8、n at any time, so as to ensure that they keep abreast of technological progress. Suggestions for their improvement, which are al- ways welcome, should be brought to the notice of the stand- ards committees concerned. Changes to standards are issued either as separate amendment sheets or iin new edit

REQUIREMENTS Exact Gas Identification Exact identification of the contents of a portable medical gas container shall be given by means of legible la

44、belling of the name(s) or name(s) and symbol(s) of the gas(es) on the container. The marking shall be at the valve end of the container, preferably away from the cylindrical part of the body. Names and symbols shall be as listed in Table 1. The size of the lettering shall be at least 5 mm (3/16 in)

45、high. Colors for lettering shall be black or white on a contrasting background (par. 7.1. I).
