All stems
44、, skins, 588ds and objectionable portions shall be removed before processing. Only mature, ripe, sound tomatoes or parts thereof shall be used. Tomato catsup shall be processed and packaged under sanitary conditions in accordance with the general principles of food hygiene as given in par. 2.1.2. DE
45、TAIL REQUIREMENTS Tomato catsup to this specification shall contain the ingredients given in par. 3.1. As sweetening ingredient, sugar, invert sugar, fructose, glucose, dextrose or any combination thereof may be used. Food colouring and preservative may be added. When examined according to the “Howa
46、rd Mehod“ or MFO-5, the amount of mould filaments, bacteria, yeast and spores shall not exceed the limits given in the Processed Products Regulations. The tomato catsup shall have a shelf life of at leasi 12 months from the date of delivery. PREPARATION FOR DEUVUW Unless otherwise specified (par.8.1
47、), normal commercial packaging. labelling, packing and marking shall be acceptable. The tomato catsup shall be packaged in containers of types and sizes as specified (par. 8.1). INSPECTION Sempllng - Sampling for inspection and testing shall be at the discretion of the inspection authority, unless a
48、 specific sampling plan is specified (par. 8.1). NOTES Options - The following options must be specified in the application of this specification: a. if grade Canada Fancy or Canada Choice is desired (par. 4.1) b. Packaging, labelling, packing and marking details if normal commercial practice is not suitable (par. 6.1) c. Container type and size (par. 6.2) d.
